I'm a photographer based in Austin and I'm meeting my sister-in-law from Oklahoma City in the Plano/McKinney area to photograph my darling nieces. She's a Texan at heart and we are counting on being able to find some bluebonnets. Are there any good places this year?

It won't let me respond to your wonderful answers - I will be driving up in a few days and checking out most of the areas mentioned. Years past have had some good spots up there but you never know when something gets built somewhere so I didn't know if the info from 3-4 year ago was still valid. Down here in Austin, they're now everywhere left and right, but it seems the farther North you go, the later the peak time is... I'm afraid we will be on the early side as the 10th was the peak of them in Austin and now the weeds are on the rise. We're trying to accomplish a "country" look with these. Hopefully we will succeed. Thank you all for your answers and I will definitely come back and update the "So What Happened?" box with pics!

At Shiloh and Renner just off of 190 is an entire field! I just drove by there yesterday to see how they were doing. They are just now coming up and should have some good picture taking this weekend thru the next. If you exit Renner off of 190 take your first right at the light at Shiloh and they will be on your left. when its in full bloom, its a few acres!

There are some bluebonnets/Indian Paint Brushes by Collin College on Spring Creek in Plano. I also saw another post on here about there being a field on Custer somewhere, but I haven't found it yet.

The bluebonnets are thick this year because of all the winter rain. You can always find them on the highways, especially the newer ones like SH-161 in Irving south of the airport and Spur 408 between I-30 and I-20 in Dallas. There are fields on the JC Penney Headquarters grounds on Legacy Drive, but parking will be difficult. There is a good patch at our community garden in Carrollton on Carriage Lane, off Marsh. It's too bad they can't go to Austin. The bluebonnets on Highway 16 north of Fredricksburg and the Willow City loop were the best I've even seen.

HI! I am a photographer right here in Frisco! I would love to share this amazing site. It is located at 423 and main in Frisco. It is located at Zion Cemetary. There is a beautiful lake in the background and a wire and white fence that runs around it. There is also a dirt road going uphill. Very nice for photographs!:) Have fun!
