Well, this is what we do professionally. Desitin is a grease type stain, so we would apply some grease remover product and then clean. This would remove the greasy spot and keep it from attracting dirt back to it. Mention Mamasource and I'll give you a special deal! All-Star Chem-Dry is our name. Chem-Dry is non-toxic and leaves no residue. It's actually rated as edible by the FDA. Hope we can help!

If no one else replies with the same experience for the same product, etc., call the makers of Desitin and tell them the problem. They should be able to help.

Sorry, but I have to laugh at the vision of their artistic efforts. Bless your heart.

For now, call the product manufacturer.

I also have it on a bedspread. Any ideas for that?

Hi D.,

I use a line of natural products that have a solvent quality to them and have gotten zinc oxide out of several things for me. I get them from a membership club so you can't just go get them, but I know they work. I can help if you'd like more information.

Regards,

M.

I know this is an old post, but I came across it while trying to find out the best way to clean Desitin off our carpet. After reading the previous posts I decided to try Holy Cow and it worked! If you've never used the Holy Cow line of cleaning products, it's a natural, biodegradable, and nonhazardous all-purpose cleaner. It's safe on all kitchen counter surfaces, including granite, terrazzo, marble and tile, wood floors, carpet, bathrooms, and all painted surfaces.
Just thought I'd share :-)

Desitin is greasy, so I think anything that's made to remove grease stains from carpet should do the trick. Go to Home Depot, Lowes, or Ace and ask someone there.

I've been there - I just used hot soapy water. Another time, I used a carpet cleaner with a scrub brush. Good luck and have a blessed day!
