I have a friend who takes both of her children(ages 11mos & 3yrs) to 1st Presby of Arlington. She absolutely loves it and the boys do too. I have met some of their teachers at social gatherings at my friend's home and they were super sweet people. I was impressed by their observations & comments made about the boys. The boys were really taken with them also. I do not really know anything about the school itself, but was impressed with the real world actions & outside of work behavior of the few teachers I met. Hope this little tidbit of info helps in some way

I don't know about the 2 schools you mentioned, but there is a good school called Temple Baptist off Randal Mill and 820. Very good school and reasonable tuition...around 3-4K

I attend Pantego Bible Church where there are so many kids that go to Pantego Christian Academy and love it. The parents love it as well. I have a 3 year old and we plan on checking into it for him when it is school time. I have never heard anything bad all good!

Emma,

My daughter attended 1st Presby pre-school (on Collins) and loved it. They have a great reputation here in Arlington. Very loving teachers, educational, not just play. They did so many creative things with the kids. Music, Spanish, art, chapel, free play in centers, science, cooking, etc. I thought they prepared my daughter very well for kindergarten. I also appreciated the Christian environment.

First Pres is not in north Arlington though. It's more central Arlington.

I'd suggest making site visits, write a list of questions, and don't be shy about asking them. Take your son for a half day and see how he likes it, etc. Good luck finding the right place for your little guy.

My daughter went to Pantego Christian Academy in the 1 yr old class. I am extremely hard to please when it comes to the care of my daughter as I'm sure you are as well. I was so impressed with the care and compassion of the teachers. I don't know if Ms Lucas is still in the "baby" class, but we loved her. My daughter begins Kindergarten next fall and we have every intention of enrolling her into PCA.

I live in Bedford, but we attend church in Arlington, so many of our friends live there. I do not know about the two Christian schools you referenced, but I do know that our church, FUMC-Arlington has a FT childcare program for preschoolers that is spoken very highly of by Christian educators and non-church members alike who use it for their children. I encourage you to check it out!

Good morning Emma I used to live in North Arlington. My favorite school over there was Butler Elementary. I have heard that Pantego Christian was also a good program. Hope that helps

I attended Pantego Christian Academy along with other family members, and my Grandmother taught there. I would happily send my child there if we lived in that area! They really take pride in their academics and ethics without overdoing the religious aspect of the education. I will never forget what I learned there both spiritually and educationally. I remember even learning how to use chopsticks!! And getting to take German, and meeting some wonderful people. I even remember all my teachers' names.
