We have the Wii too, but I think Xbox is better for gaming.

I hope it's good, we just bought it today for Christmas. We have both the xbox and the wii also but we bought it for the xbox. My boys played it at Target the other day and loved it!
We haven't played it....yet. My DH is a HUGE video gamer...has been for 30 years. He's on the picky side as far as what games he buys for himself and our 2 daughters (7 and 8). He thinks most games out there are junk and a waste of money. However, Skylander is the game he most wanted to get for our girls this Christmas. Well, that and the new Kirby ...our girls love the first one. He bought Skylander today at Toys R Us for $49.99, just yesterday it was $69.99.
I would definitely recommend it based in his research! Oh, we also have both the Wii and XBOX 360 consoles and he said it'd be better for the Xbox.
Friends of mine love it. c: And they're gamers, some working in game stores, etc. c: So from what I can see since I haven't had a chance to try it myself, its really fun. Only thing is you buy the skylanders, so it can get a bit costly if you really get into the game.
