Baby Name Advice

I am 33 weeks pregnant and was wondering what everyone thinks about the names that I am looking into so far. BabyCenter.com used to have an online poll where you could ask others for input but they removed it from their website last year. I have received some feedback from family and friends, but really am wondering about non-partial judges and their opinions to see if they are similar to how I feel. Since we already have the boy's name narrowed down, please let me know your thoughts on the following names for a baby girl:

Kendall (middle name Marie or Ann)
Lauren Grace
Evelynne Grace

Also, for Evelynne, do you like this spelling as opposed to the traditional Evelyn?
Any other spellings, middle names or thoughts on the above three names would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

Love Evelynne Grace. It is such a unique name these days that I don't think you need the alternate spelling.

All three names are beautiful, I however would tell you to go w/Evelynne. My daughter is 7 y/o & her name is Evelyn and it just suits her well. I just love that name. I also have a niece whose name is Grace. Good for you for trying to be unique in the spelling. We too wanted a unique name & at the end decided with Evelyn Fermina. Good luck w/whichever name you choose they are all pretty.

I love all three names, but I love the way you spelled Evelynne, that is my first choice, with lauren grace as second.

I think Evelynne is BEAUTIFUL!!! When you pick your childs name you want it to be special. You want it to mean something... I think it's beautiful, and i'd stick with that one!!!

All three names are beautiful! Honestly, they all blend nicely with Kaelyn. (My 3 year old daughter is Evelyn so I think that would be my favorite. :)) I like the suggestion of waiting until she's born to see which name fits her. You really can't go wrong with any of them though.

It sort of depends on your last name, but I agree that Kendall is a little trendy. My rule of thumb is that if you can yell all three of her names without cracking up, it's probably going to work. As some point you will get angry with the little one and will end up yelling all three names (regardless of what you think right now). It's much more effective without the laughter.

Seriously though, I love the Grace names. Whatever you choose, make sure you love it. If you're undecided, maybe you haven't found the right name yet. Best of luck and enjoy this special time.

I like Lauren Grace the best and Evelynne second. For Kendall I would go with Marie as I think Kendall Ann runs into each other and can sound like one name..

I'm sure the name you choose will be perfect. We had several names picked out and names our son after he was born.

Evelynne is becoming more and more popular! I'm a nurse on a mother baby unit so I hear different baby names every day and you would be suprised at how often I'm hearing Evelynne (not always spelled like that though). Just thought I'd share because some people don't want a name that is common...and when I mention to a parent how it is becoming more common, they get kind of disappointed because they think they are picking a name that is not common!

I love the name Kendall a lot, but hey, just my opinion (middle name preference is Ann). I also really like the spelling of Evelynne, a modern twist on the name and it goes great with Kaelyn. Of course, Lauren is always a classic and it sounds nice with Kaelyn as well. Is there one name that your husband is leaning toward? As an aside, when I was pregnant with my last child (a daughter, now three), I was the only one who knew we were having a girl. So I went to the hospital with a little piece of paper in my pocket with four names on it. After the baby was born, we looked at her and the names, and decided then that she looked like she should be Gabrielle! So if you are still torn when your daughter arrives, maybe seeing her will help you know what is the right name.

I like Lauren Grace the best, but I think all of them are nice. I am really biased towards spelling things the traditional way- otherwise their whole life the child is correcting the spelling and can never buy anything with their name on it. Just my .02 (and my mom's name is Jill spelled "Jil" and hates it because people will actually try to correct her spelling of her own name:) )

Kendall seems a bit to trendy. I think Evelynne and Lauren are both gorgeous, classic names. Good luck.

THe names are all lovely, but my advice is wait for the baby to come. I had a few names picked out and when I first saw my daughter none seemed to fit and my husband and I chose a totally different name in the hosp. My advice is leave yourself open to choices and see what fits the baby best when you first meet him/her.
