I noticed in a previous post different suggestions for nursing pillows. Breastfeeding did NOT go well last time and we want to be prepared if the same happens. Can formula fedding mommies and breast feeding mommies recommend a great pillow to use? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Boppy Pillow.
I LOVE mine.
I can still use it as a lap pillow for reading etc. Its real handy even after baby is grown.

I have a boppy and I love it. It is all I've ever tried, I wonder if you could find a nursing store that would let you test out different options? I love nursing, but it can be painful or not work out for many reasons. Bottom line is just to get your baby fed :) my mom used her own boppy to bottle feed my son when she watched him for me. Congratulations on your new baby! Our daughter just arrived ten days ago and we are having so much fun getting to know her :)

I'm going to have to go against the others :o) and say I loved My Brest Friend pillow far more than my Boppy. For me, the Boppy was too loose and slid down into my lap too much instead of keeping the baby up higher. I ended up always having to shove pillows under it to get my son in the best position.

My Brest Friend has an adjustable strap so I was able to make it fit around me better and it stayed up where I needed the baby. It also has back support and a little pocket that I used for nursing pads. I also loved that it was firmer than my Boppy, so it held my daughter in a better position for nursing.

I loved the Breast Friend! I think it really helped me get my daughter positioned correctly when she was still so tiny. The only time I preferred the Boppy over the Breast Friend was when I was nursing in the middle of the night in bed (it was more comfortable since it didn't wrap all the way around since I was already leaning on the bed pillows). From what I understand most lactation consultants recommend the breast friend as well. Good luck!

I had a Boppy and I thought it was fine until I tried out a My Breast Friend. It's amazing how much better it is!
