Need advice on best overnight diaper or pad to put inside diaper. dd is 3yo and far from night time potty trained (which i am not pushing). she weighs 30 lbs and wakes up SOAKED and leaks often. we are cutting liquids by bedtime (she still wakes at night and at times asks for milk which we are cutting). cloth doesn't work on her anymore at night.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

thank you all! we used to do cloth but for some reason that just stopped working for us at night. and they bothered her legs at night. will try the huggies night time diapers since that was the most popular suggestion. the bed pads wont work because she refuses to sleep in her bed. lol rather she sleeps on her floor and acts like its a california king. lol

We liked Pampers Baby Dry best. Recommend going one size bigger than she needs by weight to be safest, regardless of what brand you choose. So, in Pampers, I would buy a size 6.

BTW ... We bought these to protect the memory foam mattress. Genius and amazing .... http://bedwettingstore.com/reusable-waterproof-overlays.html .... Worth every penny.

Try underjams or good nights at that age.

Have to agree with Huggies Overnights. As a parent to an 8 year old still in diapers(special needs) these work great provided you don't mind putting out the $.

Goodnights worked great for our kids. There are also Goodnights bed pads that peel and stick on ... those are super as backup if your kid really, really soaks through the best of overnight diapers.

huggies overnights worked best for us. Could you put the padded plastic-lined training underpants over those to help soak up leaks?

Pampers Overnights (and then Pull-ups) and look up Diaper Doublers on Amazon. My son is 5.5 and still wets the bed most nights. The diapers are too small for him plus I want him to put them on/off by himself so we use this and the pad. Some nights he doesn't go at all. Other nights the pad and pull up are soaked. I am glad you aren't rushing/worrying about her. Our urologist said for boys they don't even think about worrying about it until 7/8!!

We also used huggies overnights after trying many. I also found Selects Kids Booster Pads Diaper Doubled pads on amazon, which I could not have lived without. PM me if you like...I have a couple of unopened packages left and I'd be happy to send them along.

I got the Bumgenius cloth diaper inserts. They are 5 to a pack for around $25, but well worth the money. I didn't want to have to buy disposable diapers and disposable pads (which they make as well) so I went with the cloth inserts. Solved all my problems. It took some trial and error about placement of the pads, but they only way they worked is if they were completely in the diaper. Huggies overnights were definitely the best, but I still needed the insert. I simply rinsed them out in the morning and washed on the sanitization cycle of my washer machine.
