Children's Clothing Consignment Shops

I have lots and lots of beautiful winter clothes (9m to 12m) in great condition. My daughter has not been the type of child to spit/throw up or mess the clothes so they've just been through regular wash. I've tried to contact Children's Orchard to sell them but they're so booked and are not accepting appointments until October. I don't have the time to photograph each one or most of them and post them on Craigslist. Does anyone know of other children's clothing consignment shops in Raleigh where I could sell them? Or any other ideas?

What can I do next?

Try www.Kidseverywear.com They have a sale twice a year and I think that they are starting this weekend for a sale next week. It may be too late to get them in for this sale but you'll know for next time. I do the majority of my kids clothes shopping there. It's great!

consigning children's clothes is huge in Raleigh, that's why the shops are booked up. The best and most popular way to consign your kids clothes is through the semi-annual sales. I use the Kidseverywear sale in Morrisville twice a year (go to Kidseverywear.com). They are having their fall/winter sale next week, so you're probably too late to do F/W unless you hop on it, and get approval for late drop. I have also used the Kids Exchange sale at the Raleigh fairgrounds (you'll have to google that site). It is quite a bit of effort if you have a significant amount of clothes, but really the best way in this area (and lots to shop FOR as well). Good luck!

Hi A.
Go to FriendshipCloset.com or email ____@____.com
It's a womens group from my church that is organizing a sale Oct 9-11th. You can consign your things yourself. They have a great turnout.
I hope this helps

Hey,

I agree the semi-annual consignment sales are probably the way to go. The Kidseverywear in Morrisville starts this weekend so it is too late to get into that one. There is also one coming up at the Factory in Wake Forest. It is a little smaller than the others but seems to be growing every year. The website for info on consigning is www.kidaroundkidsale.com and it is coming up the first weekend in October if you are eager to get rid of clothes soon.

Good Luck!

Hello. You could try Once Upon a Child - I think there is one in Cary and one in Raleigh area.
Or you can pick 6 or so, place them on your table and take one picture. Post the whole lot on craiglist and state that this photo is an example of the condition the clothes are in. I sold some that way before.
I also just read an ad for a huge kids consignment sale: www.kisaroundkidsale.com
Hope this helps you!

"Once Upon a Child" has a store in the shopping center at the corner of Harrison and Maynard in Cary. You do not need an appointment -- they buy them from you while you wait.
