In reference to what lilpiggietoes suggested, I recently bought one at Meijer in the school supplies section. I think it cost between $5-$10.

I bet the dollar store has them. Grocery stores often have coupon organizers hanging from those special clips in a random place in the store. The last one I got was at Michael's (the craft store) in the bins they always have near the front. It was $1.

Now for me, they never have enough dividers. I cut up some cardstock to make an extra divider for each section so that I can have lots of sections. (you could use cereal boxes or old manila folders for cardstock.) Write your headings, then start using it. I will take a few months, but soon your fingers will fly right through as you become used to the sections you created.

Once I got one with clear section dividers and that drove me crazy. You can see the coupon behind and it was just annoying to me.

I took a regular 3 ring binder with plastic sheet cover for each aisle in the store and organized my coupons that way - works great. I too am saving $40 in coupons at each shopping trip, getting free stuff, and having fun doing it - yay!

I did exactly what Mommy X 3 did. I organize my coupons by expiration date. I fold them to fit in the baseball card pockets, in a way that I can see what product the coupon is for, how much the coupon is for, and when it expires. If I can't get all that to show, I fold it to show the product and coupon value and write the expiration date where I can see it too. Every time I go grocery shopping someone comments on it.

You could probably find baseball card holders at Wal-Mart or Target, but if not, I got mine from Hobby Lobby. If you don't have Hobby Lobby, try whatever arts and crafts stores you have where you live.

I think it depends on how many coupons and stores you will be shopping. The binder with the baseball card pockets is great if you shop a lot of stores and use a lot of manufacturer's coupons. I only shop at Kroger so I just use their coupons. I do what Tracy suggested. I made my own sorter from manila folders. I cut it in fourths, because I don't want to carry anything too big, and use a binder clip at the top to keep it together.

I did just what Jessica F. suggests. I took a regular binder (.50-$1) and put in page protectors. Then I organize the coupons by aisle at the store I usually shop at. I go through it weekly to see which are exprining soon or are past their date. I also have an "extra" pocket in the back for things I buy at Target and not the usual grocery store.

I would NEVER pay $40 for something that is supposed to help you save money! CONGRATS on the big savings so far!!!!

I got a neat one at Office Max for only about $4.00. I actually found it in the school supply aisle. It has 3 big compartments and 2 small ones. I use it for coupons and gift cards and it fits in my purse. Hope this is helpful.

I don't have agood answer, i use the envelope system, the plastic expandable files were too stiff for me and the baseball cards seem like to much work to slide them in and out. so i just use about 10 envelopes label the corners and stick the coupons in. Great job cutting your grocery bills awesome!!!

In the school/buisness section of most stores they have a plastic accordian style binder that is small like a wallet has several pockets & has a closure of some kind for a lot less I have seen them for a dollar or more.I currently use a coupon organizer from GooseBerry Patch but will be getting one of these that i'm talking about.I have seen these huge binders that is too much for me to handle I typically have a handful of needed coupons & use those to save me some money..
