We are moving from chicago to oak park this month and having trouble finding reviews of daycares in the area. Right now we are thinking of using giving tree (in forest park) or willow ridge academy, and I also plan to look at fresh start daycare on north ave (we will be living in mid/north oak park). Any thoughts/suggestions on these or others in the area? Thanks!

Thanks again to everyone for your help! I also understand if people don't want to give details about their concerns with a specific center, but any details you don't mind sharing would be very helpful!

How old is your child? I live in the area and looked at
Giving Tree and found that it wasn't right for us. We currently have our daughter at the Goedert Center at Dominican University, and it's great. If you would consider a home daycare calling West Suburban Daycare Association as they provide great referrals. Good luck.

Dear R.: Congratulations on your move! Oak Park is a very nice village for little ones. I have experience with both The Giving Tree and Forest Park Montessori. Our 2 1/2 yo son has been at FPM for over a year now, and we could not be happier. Please feel free to email me privately (____@____.com) if you'd like details. Best wishes, T.

Welcome to oak park. Our 22mo son is at triton college early childhood center and it is fabulous. We also used a home daycare for the first year. There is a great list serve resource called mom mail that might be helpful also. Feel free to email me at. ____@____.com and I can answer any questions and give you the contact for the list serve. Just an FYI. Triton is off of north ave just a little west of oak park.

I don't know your price range, but Concordia University in River Forest has an excellent early childhood center.
