Hi Mommies!
I have almost 8 month old b/g twins and I need a suggestion for a good diaper bag. I currently have one from Target that resembles a doctors bag...it has a wide opening at the top so you can see everything inside. We have really beaten it up and I can't find it again. I don't want something tremendous, but something sturdy, easy to carry and if there's at all a chance...cute! Thanks for your help!

Hi Danielle,
I don't have twins, but I have a 7 year old, 5 year old and 8 month old. As you can imagine I have a vast variety of things that I need when I leave the house. the best investment I made was a back pack from L.L. Bean and a couple boxes of ziploc bags. I labeled the bags for each child and put them in the back pack!! Not only were the ziploc bags great for storing their extra outfits and cups, but they were also great to have in the bag to put the dirty outfit and cup in when they were done. Hope this helps - C.

The Skip Hop Double Duo is a great bag, but I have Irish twins and I use a LeSportsac Medium Weekender. It's very roomy, fits a ton of stuff, and I use a Diaper Pod and some assorted sizes of pouches for keep all the other stuff I need separate and readily available.

Check out the Vera Bradley diaper bag..it is lightweight and has tons of pockets in it...plus you can stuff a ton of stuff into it. I personally don't carry the diaper bag, I carry the "vera" which is a little different shape but carries just as much.

i have 3 in diapers (older boy then b/g twins). i use a backpack style diaper bag and only carry the essentials. it is not stylish, but it is functional! if i think i need extra clothes, i take another bag and leave it in the car.

Hi Danielle-

I don't have twins, but an almost 2 year old little girl. Right before she was born, my husband bought me a beautiful baby bag by coach. its extremely roomy, has 6 compartments on the inside along with two long zipper insert pockets, the outside has one large compartment that buttons on the front side, two side pockets (to hold bottles or items of your choice) and on the back side has two additional pockets. I've used it from day one with her. it was a bit pricey, but it was totally worth the money. It has had it's use and you'd never know it. It was build to last! If that one isn't for you, I have seen bags made in a very similar style at babies r us! Hope this helps!

Hi Danielle,

I know that Land's End carries this style diaper bag online. My friend had told me about it when I was pregnant. Here's a link:

I checked and it appears you can also get them for a lot less on ebay.com
Good luck,

Hi Danielle!! Congrats on your twins. Mine are almost 7 (whew!!!) and I am sure everything including diaper bags has changed in the past 7 I what I had, was a big backpack. The front unzipped and stored a changing pad, etc. It had bottle pockets inside also. It is hard trying to find a bag big enough for twins and all that they need everyday. I hope this helps........

Hi Danielle! I'd suggest the Skip Hop Duo Double. It is a fairly long bag, but not heavy. Plus, it is designed to be strapped onto to the side by side double stroller. You can carry it messenger style or over your shoulder, and it is not heavy - it isn't weighed down with a lot of hardware. I use this bag with my almost 3 y.o. & 8 m.o. and haven't had any problems at all. Plus, if something gets on it, you can just wipe it down! I believe that it is machine washable as well.

I have 17 month old B/G twins and the Fleurville diaper bag is the best for space. They sell it at Babystyle and Nordstrom. Now that my I have to carry 1 kid on each hip (that's something to look forward to!) I decided I wanted a backpack which I have to say I LOVE!!!! I actually bid on it on EBay and had a great experience. Good luck!

If you are interested, I am an at home consultant for anna william. They have a great diaper bag with 6 inside pockets. And you design the whole thing yourself! I have over 90 fabrics to chose from. You can just make one on your own, or host a party and earn great incentives. The last party I did, the hostess actually got the bag for free. If you are interested contact me at ____@____.com

It sounds like you are looking for Land's End's Do It All Diaper Bag. It's what we use for our 16 month old twins and 3 1/2 year old. But when I looked for it on their website I could only find it in pink (mine is blue)... Anyway, it's $29.50 and well worth whatever shipping cost they charge. I've had mine for four years with some real rough use and it looks as new as the day I bought it. Features are fantastic!

Hello,
I am also a Mother of Twins or MOT as I like to call my self. Actually I am an MADD MOT. My children are grown, both girls, but what I used was the largest diaper bag that I could find. My children are 26 years old now, so I am sorry I don't remember where I got it, but I know a gym bag ora large clothes bag work well. You will enjoy your children. I know I did. Expecially when they learned how to say WHY? When they went to school, they came home laughing one day saying that the gym teacher got their names mixed up. I looked for a reason for this since my girls were very fashionable and wore their own clothes. Then I happened to notice they switched shoes. I hope that gave you a laugh, I know you must be tired. If there is anything I can help you with, just ask. My name is E. and my email is ____@____.com

I am looking forward to hearing what people recommend. I am 33 weeks pregnant with B/G twins AND I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter as well, so I am really going to need an enormous, but manageable diaper bag. I am also a special education teacher. Would love to work part time, but it is not an option in my district or financially. My husband and I are trying to move out of state to a place where the cost of living is not so oppressive, partly in order to to give me some time where I can focus on my kids without needing to work full-time.

I do not have twins but when my daughter was 4 months I started being a nanny for a little boy her same age. At first the diaper bag I had was fine but as they grew so did their need for stuff. I got the Skip Hop Duo Double. Its made for twins and clips on the back of a stroller or goes over the sholder. I love it. It was quite spendy but worth it. Here's the site to check it out. Good luck http://www.skiphop.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&S...

Having been there myself with b/g twins I just used what was effective for carrying what we needed. If you drive (I didnt when they were born) you are ahead of the game, I used the diaper bag alsp as a purse for a couple of years just to cut back on things I carried. Some people get help. I had three people me . myself and I. My husband worked odd and long hours. It all works out. Dont get caught up in the details enjoy them and dont forget to take pictures!

check out Lands End online, I bought my diaper bag there about 2 years ago and it still looks brand new! plus it doesn't look like a diaper bag, I got a small one but they have all sizes....I only wish I would have gone there sooner I have 5 little boys and have gone through a ton of bags before this one, plus it was only 19.99 ans they guarentee everything so if you don't like it( even after using it) you can return it!

I actually bought a Vera Bradley bag (not the diaper bag one just a large tote bag) and I LOVE it! It fits everything inside, you can see everything and it is SO pretty! It has a zipper pocket on the outside and an open pocket on the outside that has a place for you to hook your keys on to (no more searching for your keys) inside there is one zipper pocket and all around the bag are 6 pockets (two larger then the others that are perfect size for diapers and a wipe container) the other pockets I use for tissues, pacifiers, snacks, sippy cups - whatever! There is a stiff bottom so the bag stands up nicely. It is so spacious that you can pack extra clothes, my purse, toys and books inside.
Good Luck in your search!

Congratulations on your babies!
I have the Vera Bradley diaper bag and love it!! It is of course a little more expensive (I think about $100) but is so cute and obviously comes in a variety of patterns. It is big, but comfortable to carry!
Good luck.

Dear Danielle,
Congratulations on your twins!!
I know a diaper bag that would be perfect for you, although I never had twins, I have five children very close togtether and always needed a diaper bag that worked for my situation, my Sister also had twins and we both used the same bag. The bag is made by a Women on Long Island, it is very reasonally priced and looks great, I have had many diaper bags before and this one has lasted the longest and still works great for me even though I don't have anyone in diapers, I use it for everything. If you call Donna at ###-###-#### she will send you the information (I believe the bag costs approx $40, money well spent). She is also a young mother of three, and worked for years to develop this bag because she could never find a diaper bag that was not too bulky, held all the items she needed and can be use with one hand, we all know that we never have enought hands as Moms. Wishing you lots of luck.

I also have b/g twins. I recently purchased the Skip Hop Duo Double. It's wide enough to fit on the handles of a side by side stroller but not horribly huge. It also has a lot of pockets for numerous bottles, etc. I bought it on Amazon.com but they also have it at Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us.

Look beyond the baby department. After I had my first child way back when, and struggled with trying to get everything in the adorable little diaper bags I had gotten as gifts, I looked in the luggage department for something more suitable. There are so may nice travel bags that are suitable for use as a diaper bag. There's even room for YOUR things, so you don't need to carry a purse, too!
