Fisher Price Sing and Go Choo Choo

We just received a Fisher Price Amazing Animal Sing and Go Choo Choo that we ordered from Amazon for our son's first birthday. As I was unpacking it we found that the giraffe didn't seem quite right. His legs (particularly the back ones) seem much floppier than the other Amazing Animals (like the elephant that is also included) to the point where you can turn in upside down and his legs flop down without you clicking them. Also, he is supposed to make rainstick noises and there is literally one bead in his neck that moves around. If you have one of these toys, please let us know if this is normal or if we need to send it back ASAP.

What can I do next?

I looked at FP website and it led to Mattel. Here is a link to contact them and ask them. A toll free call will be faster than reading all the posts. I hope this helps.

Crazy, but mine is the same way. My Sis got my son's at Target brand new out of the box. Or maybe we got the defects? :) Have a Great Weekend.

We got our Fisher Price Amazing Animal Sing and Go Choo Choo in December for our son's first Christmas, and it is exactly as you described. The rainstick noises sound like 2 beads in the neck and it has floppy back legs. I don't think yours is defective and if it helps my son loves it plays with it almost everyday, the giraffes legs are easy to maniputlte for his strength, he just pushes down and the giraffe is then sitting. You may only want to send it back after you have heard the "ALL ABOARD" Sond a million times.

I agree with Jennie, I got mine used from a neighbor, the legs all click, and I didnt know about the rainstick leg either, LOL..it may have one or two...

Good luck, Fisher Price has ALWAYS been awesome about returning/exchanging stuff for me.

Give em a call!

Excuse me while I go find the giraffe... :)

Okay. Ours is about 8 months old, but mostly not played with (my dad bought it for the girls for a visit to his place in CA 8 months ago, and he just shipped it to us to get it out of his way. :)

The giraffe's back legs are floppy as you described. The "rainstick" in the neck sounds like it only has one or two beads. So it sounds (to me) like yours is working as manufactured.

Now, if this isn't what you EXPECTED, you can certainly return it. But I wouldn't call it defective.

Send it back. All the legs should click and the neck too!

My daughter also received this for her first birthday a few months ago. I've examined the giraffe and you're right about the rainstick neck - there is probably only one bead in there, two at the most. That said, I never knew it was meant to be a rainstick, so I never noticed it before. (Guess I didn't really read the package!) I think you might have a problem with the legs. I can turn it upside down and the legs stay in position unless I either shake it or click them down. Hope this helps!

My son also has this toy. Great toy, by the way, I learned all the songs, ha! But, no, that's not normal, our giraffe makes true rainstick noises and his legs (while somewhat floppier than the elephant) are sturdy enough for him to stand up on his own, and they definitely don't move without clicking noises. Good luck!

Our giraffe is the same and I don't think it's defective. I do agree with the other comment about the All Aboard song - it will make you crazy, but thankfully, there is a lower volume setting that helps a little. Our kids - 5, 3 & 9 Mos. - love all the animals. I think you're good to go!
