Games for 4 Year Old Girl

My youngest is turning 4 at the end of the month and I'm trying to get some ideas. What board games does your 4 year old like? We already have Candy Land and Chutes and Latters. Are there any others out there that a four year old can play? She loves playing games more than my older two so I have never had this come up before. Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have!

What can I do next?

My daughter and son (4.5 and 3.5) love "Princess Yahtzee". Helps them count and add.. pretty cool actually. They can now play with each other alone... sometimes : )

My son is 6 and he loves Go Fish and Trouble. When I introduced Go Fish I introduced it with just 2 cards for a match rather than 4, but now he does all 4. He also enjoys memory, but I weed through the cards and don't do the whole deck b/c it takes FOREVER. Also, buy regular Memory, not SpongeBob Memory or some other type. The regular one has cards that are easier to distinguish the difference in the cards. The SpongeBob has too many that look to similar. Hard on the eyes and for a little one.

I love playing games with him. Enjoy!

My son loves bingo! And as odd as it is he likes monopoly lol he mostly just moves his piece and tells us if he wants to buy something. We changed the rules a bit to give simple values to the properties so he can count the money easier.

My 4 year old likes checkers - he seriously beat his papa the other night. He is learning backgammon & chess but he isn't really good at them yet. He also likes go fish - we still use 2 matches instead of 4.

My daughter loves games too and she'll also be 4 this month! Her favorites include Memory (any version, we have like 4 and she loves them all!), Go Fish, Crazy 8s, Old Maid, that fishing game, duck pond game...!

She's played dominoes before and really liked that too. Elefun is really fun, we have some friends that have it and it's a blast! Hullabaloo is fun but it's a definite get up and move game but good for a play date or small party.

I think that the Hallmark store on 119th and Murlen has that princess game that Kathy I was talking about. At least it used to...I bought a game very similar to that as a gift a few years back and they do have a few games and things that are really good, so if you go near there check it out. I also bought some of my card games there. I prefer the Eeboo brand of cards, even for the classic games like Go Fish b/c the cards are bigger, sturdier and have fabulous pictures and vocabulary.

My son, for his 3rd bday, got the game UNO MOO, and LOVED it! It is a fun game for the little ones to play. He is going to be 4 in a couple weeks and he still plays it all the time! Going along with what someone else said, there are a lot of popular games for older children that come in a JR version that would work too! Good Luck!

I was at Toys-R-Us recently birthday shopping for my 4 year old and there are a ton of board games there for kids 3 and up, including "junior" versions of games like Monopoly, Clue, Scrabble, Boggle, Yahztee, etc. You could also try card games like Uno, Go Fish, and Old Maid.

I do not know if you have a specialty toy store there (here we have a toy store called Circle of Knowledge). I bought a friend's daughter a tea party game for her birthday. It's a board game and you spin a wheel to collect all the items that you need for a tea party. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the exact name. Her daughter loved it. Her mom told me that everytime someone came over, she played the game with them. You might be able to find it on Amazon too. I do not know if the Pretty Pretty Princess game is still out (where you collect items to become a princess). I always thought it was a cute game. Hope this helps!
