HELP My Baby Is Becoming a Chipmunk!!

I am giving my baby peas and beans with meat. I was surprised she was eating without complains because she doesn't like veggies, but slowly her cheeks start growing!
I have the feeling it was for the peas so I keep feeding her thinking eventually she will have to eat what she has, but her cheeks just got huge, so I decide to start all over again.
She spit and we start but this time I only gave her peas, and she didn't refuse (first time ever!) but she just keep saving them on her cheeks, I try give her water so that they will "swim" through but nope.
Then I try give her one of each one, well what you know she actually eat the bean and the meet but not the pea!
I must say I am very surprise for this new "trick"
But as cute as she looks, I am wonder if she finally found a way to not eat veggies, I mean what do I do know?
Do any of your kids found out about this "trick" and how did you got them to stop saving the unwanted veggies on their cheek?
PS: I let her with the peas in her mouth while I am typing this, hoping she would eat them if I just gave her more time...I just check and she still a chipmunk.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks guys, well, today I let her win the battle, I am hoping she won't do it with every veggie I give her.
She is already 2 year, and she always have been difficult to feed but this was her weirdest/cutest a whole new challenge for me.

That is really funny. I can't say I've had that exact issue with my son eating. My son is almost two and LOVES black olives. So the other night we're sitting down for dinner and I broke up a few olives into smaller pieces for him to eat. Little mr. smarty pants realized that he could swallow the pieces whole without chewing them!!! He thought it was hysterical..

lol..this made me smile..kids are too cute and smart sometimes, maybe she just doesnt like peas? if she eats the bean and the meat just not the peas, then just give her twice as many beans instead of peas or try to smash the peas onto the bite of meat?

This is such a cute post. As I was reading it I can picture your little baby with those cheeks. At first I thought the peas were making her cheeks fat lol. Maybe this is a phase that she is going through with not liking peas. Just keep offering it to her and see if she will eventually take it. It would be good if you are able to tell her that she does't have to hide them in her cheeks, she can just spit it out. : ) Thanks for sharing such a cute story and I hope she stops being a chipmunk soon.

I really don't have any advice for you, I just thought this was funny and adsolutely adorable/clever on your daughter's part!! Kids are extremely crafty when it comes to not eating the food they don't want to eat!! Good luck!

hi-
you can try to "wake up her mouth" before she eats to see if that helps. for example:
- put your hands on her cheekbones/ beside her ears and slide down to her lips (puckering them) making noises like "zoooooooop!" and make a kiss sound at the end when you get to her lips.
- use hand (sock) puppets and give firm but gentle "kisses on her cheeks)
- if you have a vibrating tether (e.g. http://www.amazon.com/First-Years-Massaging-Action-Teethe...) have her use it before meal time.

good luck!

If she's only doing this with peas, then she isn't avoiding veggies. Don't buy into the stereotype that kids will not eat veggies. Peas are one food. Either she does not like them, or she does not know how to eat them. If she has trouble processing food, you might cut them in half. Are you feeding her, and is that necessary? She might prefer to pick her food up and feed herself.
