How Do You Clean Stained Lansinoh on Clothes?

To clean sweat stains on clothes,what I use is a liquid named lestoil,you can find it on a Kowalskis Store, on the cleaners area ,it is like yellow oil and have a strong smell, what I do is put some of the oil on the stain and let it stay for a couple minutes then scrub gently , if the stain is still there do it again using more, then once the stain is gone rinse well then wash it like always, it works very good, however, I suggest you try it on an old shirt first

Try Dawn on oily stains, and if that doesn't work, put some lighter fluid on it and then throw it in the regular wash. It sounds weird but it totally dissolves greasy stains -- I learned that trick from my MIL who can get anything clean!

I swear by oxyclean stain remover spray. I've used it on grease stains that have already been washed and dried and it works every time! I love it. You might want to let it sit on the fabric for a little while though before you wash it. But that's just me. I usually spray it on before I throw my clothes in the hamper. So it sits for a few days to a week depending on when I do laundry.

I also works GREAT for carpet stains!!

Dawn Dish soap works the best! It gets out most grease stains. Sometimes I rub the Dawn in and spray with Oxy Clean.

I have no idea what lansinoh is, but if it is oil based, you might want to try white vinegar. I would worry about wd40 leaving an oil stain.

I agree with the above responses, but that is a tough one. I have used "GOJO" the grease hand cleaner to remove grease stains. I tried it on some of my stains from the lanolin, I think it worked, I can't remember. Con with GOJO- you have to really wash the fabric afterwards to get the smell from it. But if it means throwing or not wearing an object or having to wash it a few times, it worked for me.

my mom got me some really good stain remover, its from EcoSense its called PreSot, its 4x concentrated, i want to say its about 6 or 7 dollars for it but, i have been removing stains on clothes that have been there FOREVER, and i live in an apt, and even though its laundry stain remover i have used it on the carpets too and it works wonderful

I LOVE Lansinoh and use it each night on my lips and on all burns, cuts, scrapes and bites in our family...my husband and I don't remember how we lived without prior to the birth of our first child 5.5 years ago! But it does stain and stick around on textiles! Here's what I've found online to treat stains:

"To remove Lansinoh stains from nursing bras, treat the fabric as you would treat any grease stain. Pre-treat the stain with a stain remover or laundry detergent. Some women find it helpful to use OxiClean (or a similar product like Vanish Oxi Action in the U.K.), while some pour hydrogen peroxide directly on the stain prior to washing."

Most sites say that washing the textile prior to treating the stain sets it...so you may be in a bit of trouble...but hopefully it'll come out! Best of luck!

I would try Goo-Gone.

Try OxiClean. We use Oxiclean and shavings of Ivory soap to make our clothes smell good. We used to use Tide - still do every once in a while, but OxiClean tends to get clothes cleaner and keep the colors. Good luck:)

Maybe try putting it out in the sun for awhile. I have heard many moms on this site say they have put laundry out in the sun to get old stains out. Not sure if it would work for oil-based products though. Give it a try - what are you out? Good luck!

Try a stain remover that is specifically for oil-based stains. That might work. I had a similar problem with some chapstick that went through the wash and dryer (a huge load of my husband's expensive work clothes!!) and it eventually came out.

I have never been able to get those stains out. I have tried EVERYTHING possible. I am so sorry you got it on your jacket. My stains were on washable nursing pads, nursing jammies and burp cloths and stuff. So, I wanted the stains out, but when they never came out, I wasn't super disappointed since they weren't things anyone else would see. If there is a way to get it out, I have no idea what it would be. I swear I tried everything....oxyclean, vinegar, oil remover from a mechanic shop, borax, lye, I seriously tried it all. I think it might be time to get a new jacket. :(

if it is oil based the best way to spot clean it is with Dawn Dish Soap.

I have soaked clothes in Shaklee's Nature Bright and Fresh Laundry concentrate and have gotten out stains that had been there for years. Shaklee's Basic H2 is also great degreaser. My mom had a shirt that had coffee stains that had been there for years and after switching to Shaklee's Fresh Laundry concentrate the stains were gone. These products are both non-toxic and safe for us and contain no phosphates so are good for our earth also--or the earth our children will inherit.
