How Many Pillows Do You Sleep With?

I think I have 8! It wasn't like I always had to have them. Kids would sleep in our bed and get sick so would throw the pillow out. I would then buy a new one and Hubby is ridiculously petty on his pillows and would refuse to use the ones I purchased. So I would use them :) and now I am up to 8 and he is down to 1 and 1/2. His 1/2 pillow WAS a pillow but is so smashed from being old but he isn't ready to give it up.

Anyways, we will be remodeling and redecorating our bedroom and master bathroom this winter and have started looking at new comforter sets. I see all these nice beds with fancy pillows. Yes it looks pretty, but I know me, and I have come accustum to my big pile of pillows. I would much rather enjoy what I have then to get facy pillows.

My husband makes fun of me and all my pillows - but I love them!

Anyone else out there like me who LOVES there pillows? How many do you use?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Right now I have no decorative pillows - all 8 are for sleeping. With the new set I was looking at I thought about decorative, but think it would be pointless b/c I love all my pillows and don't want to waste space with decorative, lol.

One really great pillow. I have one of those memory foam pillows and it's held up well for about 7 years now. It was 100 dollars and I could not sleep with anything else.

I have two, but I am super specific and no one is allowed to touch my pillows. They are both the latex /foam pillows...one is for my head and it is I think a queen sized pillow, but I have been using it for so long it is starting to get kind of flat but I don't care, I love it...and the other is a huge king sized body length pillow and I got used to having it when I was pregnant and could never give it up. I refuse to travel without my pillows!

2 under my head, i hug one, one inbetween my legs and under my belly (pregnant)......so 5 directly on me, then on any given night my daughters will have 1 or two each...plus there are unused pillows "just in case" or for looks. When my hubbie is in town he uses at least three

2, one for my head and one to support when when I lay on my side. But... when my husband leaves for work early in the morning, I snatch his king size pillow too. Cannot stand flat pillows or ones that are too fluffy. I also have to sleep with a down comforter, even in the hot TX summer, I just blow a fan on me. That's kind of like a ginormous pillow.

We have about 3-4 decorative pillows as well, but we don't actually sleep with them.

Hubs has 2 standard sized pillows. I have 1 standard, 2 king sized & 1 full body pillow I sleep with every single night. I kind of need to be completely ensconsed (sp?) to get & stay warm at night so I totally surround my head & front of my body down to my feet with pillows & back up into hubs. If he's not home for whatever reason then I completely surround my back with pillows as well.

We have a queen sized bed. We share one pillow that goes all the way across the bed. We each have our own pillow that we place on top of the pillow that goes from one side of the bed to the other.

So we have three pillows.

Good luck to you and yours.

I have 2 (but if I go by your explanation of your husband's pillows I only have 1 1 /2 :) and my husband has 6. Luckily, we have a king bed!
All 8 of these are for sleeping. We also have 2 king sized pillows with decorative shams to match the quilt. Those are in the linen closet and only come out when we have company and the bed gets made.

I love pillows but have the hardest time finding the right combination to make me comfortable. I sleep with 1 1/2 (based on your description) and so does my husband. We have about 10 pillows that don't belong on any bed, they're my stock pile of pillows that didn't work for me. I go through them all and try again when mine start to get uncomfortable. I wish there was a Sleep Number pillow, just like the bed.

Oh my goodness! We have about a dozen pillows on our bed. There's a gap between the mattress and headboard that needs to be plugged up so we don't lose our pillows in the night. Then there's the cute decorative ones that match the duvet cover.... But.. needless to say the next time we buy a mattress we're going to be buying a new bed frame that doesn't have the gap problem and starting over with pillows!

I only sleep with one. Sometimes when I sleep on my stomach I put a pillow on top of my head also. I have no idea why I started doing that, but it's comfortable to me. My husband sleeps with 3.

Are you talking decorative or what you sleep with? I sleep with 3; one for my head and two to hug and put between my knees when I sleep on my side. As for decorative, we have two king sham pillows and 3 small 18x18s that go in front of those.

I am pregnant right now so too many pillows is not in my vocabulary. My husband thinks is ridiculous how many are on our bed - he uses one - but he has never been a beached whale so he has no clue what it feels like to try to get comfy when you are as fat as a pile of pillows yourself LOL
I think right now I use 5 to get to sleep

I have 6 on our Queen sized bed, two and a shammed pillow on my son's bed and O. and a shammed pillow on the "spare" (read: snore cave) bed. All are bed pillows, not decorative.

I hate to replace pillows because I need to buy 11!
