OK, I am just feeling lately like I am soooooooo irritable that it is out of control. Little things that I should be able to laugh off just irritate me instead. Does anyone know of a supplement that helps with this? We are headed into summer vacation and my kids will be home and I really don't want to be a raving B**** all summer.

HELP!!

M

Exercise. I hate it (when I haven't been doing it) - but holy cow does it help my mood!

I've found it's pretty much anything from yoga, just stretching, brisk walk to full on lifting weights. The second or third day, I feel 100% better and wonder what took me so long to get back to it.

Exercise. Get a treadmill. When you are mad it only takes about 10 minutes of walking fast to change your mind.

St Johns Wart and Valerian for mood. B complex for energy and stress management. Yoga, deep breathing excercises for stress. Weight training, kickbox, dance classes for stress reduction.
Maybe you just need a good cry. You could watch the Notebook or some other tear jerker. There's also the most natural relaxtion technique in the world......have a few good mind blowing orgasms. That's an instant attitude adjuster!

Sometimes irritability is a symptom of depression. You could try St. John's Wort or a good multi vitamin (deficiencies in all of the B vitamins and several minerals- zinc, magnesium, calcium-can cause irritability and agitation). Of course you should talk to your doctor before starting the wort if you go that route.

I have been taking these chewable adult vitamins for YEARS! They have added probiotics and they even help with my restless legs at night. They are called GBG's 10 in One Super Formula: http://www.GBGisIT.com Also, find this book: "She's Gonna Blow" by Barnhill. Its really good. Good luck!!!

I have been that way since I have been without my antidepressant. My endocronologist said that as I am now seeing a coucilor, she didn't feel comfortable prescribing antidepressants anymore and to have him make that decision.
I have no patience now and snap at my kids. I hate it! Going to councilor tonight, cant wait!
If you don't want to go through all the doc stuff, try Sam-E from the health food store. They should also be able to recommend something that may work better.

IF your bad moods are cyclical.... then it is PMS. And/or hormonal based.
Try and track it.
I have always done that and so I really know when PMS hits.
I used to get mega irritable. I don't get bloated or anything like that. But PMS makes me real irritable.
But... I have been taking "Vitex" and "Dim Plus" and it has helped me a ton. My PMS is now shorter and much less irritable.
Try going to your local Whole Foods store and asking the person in the supplements section. They are very, helpful.

Research PMS. Bad PMS has also been shown to destroy relationships.
Because in addition to driving the woman nuts, it can create problems in the marriage and family too.
