"Lady Hands" on a Man

OK. We've all seen them. The hands on men at work, serving food, wherever that are soft as butter with nails just a little on the long side. Eewwwee. Does this gross you out as much as it does me?
Could you be (or are you) married to a man with hands like this?

What can I do next?

Gross me out? Far from it. I love a man with pretty hands. I met Richie Havens after a concert last year, and that man has the most beautiful hands I've ever seen. I want to be reincarnated as his guitar.

All it means to me is that they don't have to do hard manual labor where they would get blisters and callouses on their hands. I've had blisters form from digging/working in the garden, raking leaves (if I didn't put gloves on first), or pushing a broom for a living (when I was a teen I worked clean up detail at a stadium - even with gloves the blisters would form).
My husband and I work with computers for a living right now. His hands still get rough, dry and his knuckles crack and peel. I'd be THRILLED if he'd use a lotion to heal those cracks up.
What is wrong with hands that are neat, clean and well cared for and don't look like they've been through a meat grinder?

Too funny! This grosses me out completely. I'm big boned, my hands are thin but I have long fingers and big palms...I'm 5'9 and wear a size 10 shoe! Not a giant, but not a tiny girl either! I tease my husband that O. of the primary reasons I married him is because his hands were larger and rougher than mine! I couldn't stand dating guys with smaller more delicate looking hands!

That is such a funny question! My man has true man hands and getting a back rub from those rough calloused hands is out of this world! Nails on the long side on a man definitely makes me throw up in my mouth a little. Gag. That said, to each his own but don't you dare shake my hand with a limp, floppy hand, girlie or not! That grosses me out more than anything!

My husband's hands (and feet) are so nice. Masculine, not metro in any way, but sill very soft and perfect and clean and (short nails), though with a perfect amount of roughness from his labor. So, I guess I like a good balance.

What an awesome question! I needed that today. Lady hands are completely a turn off for me! My man works hard, his hands are rough, and very large in no way to be confused for the "light duty" male. he refuses to wear gloves when working in the yard which kinda drives me nuts because he comes back with scratches all over. But I'll take that over some sissy hands! haha. love it. Thanks Momma for reminding me another reason why i love him.

Men and boys with long fingernails are NASTY! My 4 year old already knows I find this so revolting that he tells me I need to cut his nails before they make me sick! I cannot abide a grown man with long nails -it's just nasty.

Seeing butter soft hands on a man would actually make me jealous. That's just so unfair . . . and they probably don't even appreciate it what lengths us women go to just to have pedal soft skin.

Seeing men with long nails does gross me out though. Just thinking about it right now gives me the heeby-jeebies. Yuck!

My man has "man" hands. Calloused, big, trimmed nails, always just a "touch" dirty from work. love 'em. I love to hold his hands and think about those callouses carresing me. :)
Lady hands don't puke me out, but they certainly don't turn me on either. I LOVED that my last two OB's had lady hands! ;) lol

Soft hands wouldn't gross me out. Once though when we went gambling in Louisiana the guy in the casino cafe who was handing me my sandwich had his nails done. Long acrylic girl nails. It really, really grossed me out.

A man that has large hands is O. of the biggest turn ons for me. I just like a man who can take care of me and this is O. of the visible things I look for. I have a friend who was raised on a ranch and now her and her husband bought a ranch. She does not have delicate hands at all. It kinda goes along with her entire body though. She works sun up until sun down and her body shows it. I don't mind feminine hands on a man but, just like others have said, I hate long nails!

My mans fingernails get a little long at times. He never thinks of clipping them so I have to remind him. He's gotten a lot better at it. But he has the polar opposite of of soft hands. I often tease him that if he rubbed his hands together he could probably start a fire. He has mechanic hands, full of cracks, callouses, grit and grime.
I don't think I would switch to girlie hands. =)

I honestly have a thing for hands. It usually O. of the 1st things I notice on a man. I've seen some guys with "girly hands" and I wouldn't be able to handle it lol
I like my man to be MANLY, his hands included.

Though I can't quite picture them as "lady hands," my husband has amazing skin and soft hands – even after days of working around the yard, or after an annual two weeks of backpacking that involves ice camping, rock climbing, and seriously manly challenges, he comes home with soft hands and feet – though he usually sacrifices a few toenails to the stress of long downhill treks.

I don't know how he does it. I garden, but even when I take a break from outdoor work, my hands are always rough. My knuckles are raw. My elbows are gnarly. My heels are like sandpaper, even after I sandpaper them. I have really dry skin. I probably go through a gallon of moisturizer every year.

Fortunately, I love the man, and don't care that he doesn't have calluses. He can't help having such amazingly smooth skin. And I do adore his touch.

Not really-not sure I have ever noticed this before. But lady hands that look like a man's really do. Or chipped polish and unkempt nails/cuticles-the worst!!!
