Hi I am new to Allen Tx. I know I am pregnant because I took the test which came out positive. Now I need referrals for OB/GYN in my area.

I would like to thank you all for your instant replies and suggestions. I want to apologise for not mentioning that I was looking for a lady OB/GYN, though I was not adamant on it but my first preference would be a lady ob. I realized that my question did not include that. I guess absentmindedness grows in pregnancy.
I found Craig Ranch OB/GYN in Mckinney which is like 5 mins from my place. I have had one appointment with Dr Heather Sloan, she seems really nice.

You should try North Central Womens Health Partners in McKinney. Dr. Banks and Dr. Allen delivered my son and they are both great!
There's a wonderful practice at Frisco Centennial, which is southeast Frisco and very close to Allen. My doctor is Petrovski and she's great, and I also loved Bailey, she was wonderful. The other two doctors have come on board since I had my son, so I haven't had any experience with them. Here's a link to their website:

I have gone to Dr. Bruce Rajala for the last 10 years. He delivered both of my children and is an absolutely wonderful, patient doctor. He is in the Presbyterian Hospital in Allen on HWY 75 and Exchange Pkwy. His office is Ste. 310. Phone is ###-###-####.
My friends recommended Dr. Rajala at Presby Allen and I am using him with my current pregnancy. He delivers a lot of babies. He took care of my friends (who had some health issues) and is doing a good job with me. It's a busy but friendly office located basically on the same floor of hospital's Labor & Delivery department at Presby in Allen. The rooms for delivery are nice and the hospital has a great philosophy about taking care of the baby & mother. Congratulations on the pregnancy!!
Dr. Elise Harper and Dr. Elliott at Health Central Women's are both wonderful. They are located at 121 and Coit near Centennial Hospital. They helped me through two high risk pregnancies and I had two healthy babies and good deliveries.###-###-####.
Dr. Rajala is in the Presby Hospital in Allen. He has been my OBGYN Dr. for 12 yrs. He delivered all 3 of my kids. Love him. He is gentle and a great listener. His staff is wonderful as well. His # is ###-###-####.

Dr. Ralph Joseph delivered both of my sons. EXCELLENT doctor, EXCELLENT nurses, TOP-NOTCH sonographer! He's at Allen Presby.
I am a Ralph Joseph fan - he delivered my third child and it was the best of all of them! Very honest and tells it like it is - and sometimes it may not be what you want to hear.
The staff at Allen Presby are great as well - I felt like I was the only one having a child and when I was done had found out 3 others were having children at the same time.
I'd also like to recommend Dr Rajala. I just recently moved to East Texas so I don't go there anymore but I went to him for a long time and he delivered all three of my children. I never felt rushed. He always had time to answer questions. And his office staff is very nice too. Good luck with your pregnancy.

Dr Kathleen F. Varadi, M.D in Plano phone number ###-###-#### is a wonderful OB/GYN! I have gone to her for 16 years and never once had a problem. She tells it like it is and is genuinely interested in the lives of each of her patients. She is also very gentle durring exams and does a wonderful job of keeping a mom calm durring labor. Dr. Bruce Rajala is the absolute best! He delivered two of my children and have recommended him to many of my friends and family. You almost always get into your apts fast, and he is very nice, and caring. You will feel very comfortable with him!
Dr. Lori Halderman is fantastic. She is in the medical offices at 121 & 75 by the hospital. North Texas Women's Health Partners is her practice with 2 other great doctors.
