Looking for Pediatric Chiropractor Around Roseville

My daughter has a lot of earinfections and I hate to have her put on antibiotics all the time. I have heard that chiropractors treat earinfections with some success. I would love to hear from Mom's who have gone that route. Does it work? Are there Chiropractors specializing in treating children?

What can I do next?

My daughter began having a horrible earinfection when she was 6 months old that lasted for 6 months. With no success on a different antibiotic every 2 weeks, we got plugs put in her ears, they were a life saver, I was so happy every time we have gone to the doctor after the tubes were inserted, and they tell us she has clear ears. I really recommend the tubes, it seems traumatic at first, but when you see how much better they hear and don't hear the crying at night, LIFE SAVER!!!

Hi S.,

I am not sure exactly where Roseville is so I can't give you a specific referal, but there is a website www.icpa.com or org that has a list of chiropractors that have special certification in pediatrics. Some chiropractors do not work with children, but I think most do. I am a chiropractor myself and I have worked with several children including my own daughter and friends and family. Pediatric chiropractic is very gentle, sometimes the child will be uncomfortable when we touch an area that is irritated, but the adjusting does not hurt. Children respond very well to chiropractic and also tend to respond quickly. With ear infections the upper neck is often involved. Also, diet plays a role in ear infections. Milk is often a big problem because many children are sensitive to it and it is very mucous forming.

I have an office in mound and I live in plymouth. I am thinking it is probably too far for you to drive, but if you would like to bring your child in or you have more questions you can email me.

I do hope you decide to utilize chiropractic as a natural alternative!

When my daughter was born two years ago, I heard that there was a chiropractor just north of Lexington and Larpenteur who helped infants with colic. I don't remember the name as I never looked him up...

I used a chiropractor for my twins' colic.... unbelievable!!! I'd try them for anything else, I think they're amazing. My doc moved to CA but search for someone who specializes in or sees a lot of kids.

I swear by my chiro- Barb Gettel. Both my girls have been adjusted since hours old- neither one has ever had an ear infection. I did have a friend that brought her son to a chiro after having 5 ear infections in one season. She took him to an ENT, first, and was told to explore all alternatives to tubes. She brought him to the chiropractor 2 times and has never had one since (2 years).

She is located St Clair and Fairview in St paul. ###-###-####

Hi S.,

There is a chiropractor on West 7th (in st paul, but not really near Roseville) that just yesterday changed his sign to read 'Ear Infections?'...the implication seems to be that he can help with them. I'm sorry I can't think of the name right now. He (or she actually) is right across from Sibley Plaza.
I wonder if you could do a search to find him in that location? I drive by every day on my way home, I will try to look for the name and get back to you.

Absolutely it works!!! In my daughter's 1st year she had 5 ear infections (almost 1 per month in the winter) Each time she was on antibiotics, it worked for a while and then the last time after 10 days, her ears were still infected. I took her to a chiro. and I will continue to do so. They adjusted her and within 3 days, the infection was gone. They also gave us garlic ear drops which help ease the pain. I took her to the NorthWestern Natural Health Care clinic in Bloomington to see Dr. Spicer...she's the head teacher at the Chiro. college there for peds. You could give them a call to see if they could recommend you somewhere close to where you live.

Good Luck.
