I'm looking for a quality daycare in the houston area. I am moving to Houston from Orlando, FL, therefore, I know nothing on this area! All the websites I've looked up are just commercial things and I can't get any replies from anyone!

What can I do next?

Hi J.,

It really depends on what part of Houston you are moving to. If you have any idea what area or zip code you are moving to, I could possibly help narrow some things down for you. I hope you find Houston to be as wonderful as our family has. It is a very friendly place.

J.,

I'm not going to offer any recommendations, since I'm not sure what part of Houston you are going to move to. But I am going to give an extremley useful website that enables you to search for day cares in your area and it also allows you to see regulatory inspection reports of all daycares in that area. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else. The website is: http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/child_care/about_child_care_l...

Hi J.

Houston is a very large city with lots of school and daycare options. It really depends on where in the city you will be living. I would be happy to give you some recommendations for daycare and schools if I am familiar with where you will be living.

Try this website for informatoin on Childcare. Also, look up school districts via internet to determine the area with the best schools for your children's ages. http://www.collabforchildren.org/

If you are moving, you are likely looking for a home too. The MLS listings usually give a link to the associated school districts with stats on the area and school perfomance.

You either determine what area of Houston you will live by where you want your children to be schooled or what you want your commute to work to be like. Good luck!
