Use duct tape, only large enough to cover wart, change often, everyday if necessary. Wart will be gone in about three weeks or less. Only change duct tape if it falls off. My daughter had to change everyday, but she is nine and very active in sports. Hope this helps. this has been medically proven and was reccomended by Dr. Mark Wayne, our pediatrician. He's in the Arlington / Mansfield area.

My daughter had warts as well on her thumbs and her knees. I tried everything to get rid of them. Itook her to our pediatrician and they gave me a prescription for a topical cream but it would take almost 3 months to get rid of the warts. I didn't want to make her wait that long, school was starting! I found out that a piece of a banana peel could actually take the wart away!! I put a piece on top of the wart on her knee and covered it with a large band-aid so that it wouldnt come off and left it on overnight. The next morning the wart had gone down half the size. I then rubbed the banana peel on her finger twice a day without a band-aid and it just about went away within a few days! This is not to say that they won't pop up again somewhere else in the future but its worth a try. It definately worked for me! I hope this helps!

Our pedi is Dr. Michael Brown at Pedicatric Associates of Dallas. He is wonderful, take a lot of time to answer all questions, makes us feel very comfortable, his office returns calls quickly, they have evening hours (up to 8:00pm, I think). The number is 214-###-###-####.

I just had an appointment with Dr. Cheek, a dermatologist who sees children - not all dermatologists do) because my 4 yr old has warts. Although they say that they are just a virus that your body will eventually develop an immunity to, it could take months or years for them to go away. On top of that, they can spread, which is what happened in my son's case. He had one on his finger that he kept biting and now they are cropping up everywhere, on his face, legs & hands. So if I were you, I would take care of just the one before that happens. In my son's case he was prescribed tagamet, an oral solution that was created for stomach ulcers, but one of the side effects gets rid of warts. It's only 50% effective, but we're hoping it works since the only other thing we could try is topical ointments. Surgical removal would cause scarring and would be too painful.
Good luck!
