You should talk to your pediatrician about it, then they could refer you to an eye doctor.

Take you daughter to an eye doctor right away! This sounds very similar to a problem I had growing up and something I an now stuck as an adult because of lack of the proper care.

My mother has noticed the same thing wrong with me as a baby and growing up I had the same problem. Doctor after doctor told my mohter that nothing was wrong with me and that I only neded reading glasses when the truth is I need eye surgery to correct the problem.

It wasn't until I went for an eye exam when I was 16, with an eye surgeon, that he noticed the problem. The same thing as you dercribed, my right eye slightly crossed but not as noticeable as in other people. Yes I was diagnosed has having a lazy eye but the conditon I had could of been corrected as a child and it would of restored my vision in that eye. However, because the procedure needed to be done before I turned the age of 8, I can no longer correct the problem.

Unfortunately, I only have one really good eye, which I must be very careful with because I cannot see out of the other one. So yes I am partially blind in my right eye.

Have your child's eye checked as soon as possible. The doctor who had finally realized my condition worked for Long Island College Hospital (LICH) downtown Brooklyn, his name was Dr. Strum. He is an eye surgeon. I honestly don't know if he still works there, but check it out.

Don't let this go untreated. Good luck to you!

I'm sorry that I can't help you, I don't know of any eye doctors. But I am writing to let you know that I was a child with strabismus. I had a slightly "lazy" eye that got really bad by the time I was 3 years old. My parents acted right away, I had surgery to correct the "faulty" muscle, but I wore glasses for about 8 years after the surgery...not because my vision needed it, but to further strengthen the muscles in my eyes to make them work together. Today I am 34 years old and get my eyes checked regularly. I have 20/20 vision and I've never needed glasses beyond the age of 11 years old. I'm sure my parents were as scared as you are, but because they responded right away, as soon as the crossing started, my eyes are now perfectly straight. Don't hesitate, call your pediatrician and find the doctor...pleae keep me updated...good luck...A.

I used to work for an eye doctor and this is common. Place your hand on the opposite side and have your daughter follow your finger( up, down side to side) with the eye that looks cross eyed if she follows you should be ok. However only a doctor knows best he may be able to calm your worries. I will get back to you regarding a great doctor in Manhattan who only specializes with children and works on the stars kids.
