Natural Baby Wash?

Hi! I have been using only natural baby products for our son (Burt's Bees), but they do not make a lavender baby wash. I like the idea of using something aroma based as a sleep aid, but don't really want to use Johnson's or Huggies- does anyone know of a good natural lavender baby wash?

What can I do next?

My daughter and I use Aveeno baby wash. There is one called Calming Comfort, we use the lotion as well. I think that one works really well. We've used it for my 4 year old and 1 year old granddaughters and they seem to sleep well after their baths.

California Baby has a great lavender bubble bath/body wash. Whole Foods is the only store I know of that carries it.

Check out the baby products at whole foods or any of the co-ops around town. I buy all of my kids wash stuff from whole foods-generally organic or all natural products.

Good luck!

I love Arbonne. I use all of their products. You can learn more about them on www.arbonne.com. I signed up as a consultant to get the 35% discount on all my products. All products are free of chemicals, dyes, perfumes and other irritants. Good luck.

Hi,

Earth's Best has a great product line. I use the all natural lavendar baby wash and lotion and my baby's skin loves it. I usually buy it at Kowalski's, but I'm sure it's available everywhere.

I have a friend that sells Daisy Blue Naturals, her name is Jennie Bennett. It is a local company that only uses natural ingredients in their products. They have an entire baby line as well. They also sell the pure esential oils (lavender included). They have an awesome product called "sleep easy pillow mist" which has lavender in it. My kids LOVE it!! Here is her site. I hope you find something that will help! www.4074.daisybluenaturals.com

I got a gift set for my twins of natural baby products in a lavender scent by Indigo Wild called Wee Baby. I have the lotion, spray and cream but I am pretty sure they have an entire line of stuff in the lavender scent. So google "Indigo Blue Wee Baby" and you should be able to find their products online. I LOVE the stuff and am hoping to get more for myself soon. Also Trader Joes might have something, I have never looked for baby care items there though so don't know for sure, worth a try. Also if you could find a non-scented natural, liquid baby soap and add your own essential oils, I have been searching online to buy some to use in cleaning products so email me directly if you want to know where I am ordering mine from.
I am kind of hoping Burt's Bees comes out with some lavender scented stuff one of these days, I love all their products as well.

What you could do is buy lavender oil or any other scent of oil and put that in the bath water. I also use natural baby products but they do not have that scent. You could maybe look at a GNC or a an herbal/health shop, they usually will have a variety of different things, and if they don't have it they may be able to point you in the right direction. Hope that helps.

There has been some research on the use of lavender baby products and breast growth in baby boys (and possibly girls). I think lavender stimulates estrogen release, so I would just look into it and consider not using lavender.
