My last day at my main job is this Friday. I quit so that I could focus on finishing school. This has cut my income substantially so I needed to know if anyone has tips on saving money. My main thing is groceries. I currently do price matching at Wal-Mart and will be trying some tips for coupons I was told about. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Also, the Storehouse in Keller has books 5 for $1. Nice clothes and they do bag sales. They also have gently used furniture & more. They are off of Keller Hicks Rd. They also own Hopes Closet close to Hightower and off of Rufe Snow.

Cut out meat in your meals 1-2x a week.

Use canned/frozen veggies/fruits instead of fresh.

Buy frozen juice instead of fresh.

Buy in bulk and freeze!

Don't eat out!

Get rid of anything unecessary - satellite/cable/etc. You probably need the internet for school, though.

Try to carpool to school to save on gas.

S.,
My local Kroger and Market Street stores have a place in the meat department where they put meat and poultry items with use by dates that are about to expire. You can find some real bargains there.

Get rid of your debit card and schedule for gas fill ups for a certin day and pay that with cash. If you don't have a debit or credit card it is mush more inconvient to buy things if you have to go get cash or write a check.
