Mine was $95 out of pocket, but we felt that was high so we did not return to him.

M., you are lucky to live in the area, because this is where Dr. Robert Stella has his Pediatric Dental practice! He, his staff AND his office are completely magnificent!Google the info, and you'll see !!!!
We have ppo insurance and it costs about $65 out of pocket for a regular check up, and when I took my oldest child who had no insurance at the time, the out of pocket cost for her check up was reasonable as well, about $150 if I recall correctly, but please don't quote me on that one!
Have a great day!

Have you ever looked into those Dental Savings Plans? A good one that I know of is available through Affordable Service Providers. Call them at:1-800-483-1830. You need a referral code, the one I have is: 229255. These plans are effective immediately and have no exclusions for pre existing conditions. Hope this helps.

We see Dr. Enriquez and Dr. Brajevich in Torrance on Hawthorne Blvd., near PCH. They are absolutely wonderful and their office is so kid friendly, the kids don't even know they are going to the dentist :)
I believe a normal check up and cleaning costs around $125 for each one of my kids, maybe less.
We drive from San Pedro and it's worth it. These guys are really good, and they don't do unnecessary stuff like a lot of dentists out there.

Not sure what the going rate is, but in my experience the scale is very sliding. I would call around and get prices and service levels, like you would a car repair.
You might also check with your local health dept for low cost, or cost assisted programs.
