Hi! I am new to the area and 8 mos. pregnant. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a good pediatrician in or around Waltham, MA. I will be delivering at Newton-Wellesley hospital so someone associated with NWH would be nice.

I can recommend Dr. Eileen Kramer at Pedatrics at Newton-Wellesley. Our son is almost 3 and she's taken great care of him since birth - he hasn't had any serious issues, thank goodness, but we've always had a great experience with Dr. Kramer and the entire office.

I delivered my two daughters at NWH, and both times Dr. Fox was their pediatrician. He is not our regular ped.; our regular one doesn't have privileges at NWH. But both times we thought Dr. Fox was great. He's older, very assured, which I like in a pediatrician. Best of luck!

We had our son at newton Wellesley as well. Our Pediatrician is associated with them as well. They are located in Natick, but worth the slightly longer drive from Waltham. My son recently got terribly sick on a Friday and they got us right in to see them. They sent us to the hospital and we stayed there until Sunday. They called us several times throughout the time we were in the hospital and were in constant contact with the hospital doctors and nurses. They came by the hospital each day to evaluate our son as well.

They also go out to your home for your child's first doctor appointment the day after you are released after birth - which is nice not to have to take out such a new child.

They are Dr. McKenzie and Dr. Diskin. They are at 218 N. Main St in Natick, on 27 across from the Stop and Shop and Building 19. Their number is ###-###-####.

Dr James Cooley at Harvard Vanguard in Wellesley is fabulous!! I live in Waltham too and it is only 10 minutes away. It is right at the intersection of I-95 and route 9. He can go to newton wellesley also.

Congrats on your upcoming birth-that is so exciting!

I use Dr. Tetiana Pronchick from Pediatrics at Newton-Wellesley. She is wonderful-she is not too loud and always has a smile on. She is great at acknowledging my concerns without being crazy about worrying over every little thing. Both my 3 yr boy and 15 mos old girl are very happy with her. I was just starting the process of interviewing peds when my son came 7 weeks early. She came to me in the hospital while my son was in the special care nursery so I could interview her. I've also had to use 2 of the other Dr.'s when she wasn't there and they were both great too.
And it's convient to have the hospital right there-2 months ago my daughter got RSV and after checking her and seeing her pulse-ox was low and didn't respond to a nebulizer treatment they did there-the receptionist helped me carry all my stuff and 2 kids over to the hospital to get right in.

Congrats on your upcoming big day! Our pediatrician is Dr. Diane Pigula out of Beaver Brook Pediatrics in Waltham. The office is in the office park next to Waverley Oaks gym on Waverley Oaks Rd. We LOVE her!!!! There are 4 docs in the practice, counting her. They have always been amazing at spending time with us, calling right back nights and weekends when our kids have been sick, and just being approachable and awesome. I delivered at Mt. Auburn and I know they have associations with Mt. Auburn in general, but NWH, I am not sure about that. Give a call and ask, you never know. Dr. Pigula met with us about 2 months before our oldest was born so we could see how we felt about her, and we never looked elsewhere. The only drawback is that they don't have a lab in the office for blood work, you have to go elsewhere for that. Good luck!!!!!
