I have quite a history with bad dentists & having work re-done.

I've been using Dr. Brian Herring for almost 3 years & haven't had any problems with his work. He's done several fillings, 4 root canals & crowns for me. He's professional & gentle. He also teaches part time at Baylor. Several people I work with also go to him. He accepts Delta Dental & Aetna.

Located in Frisco. Preston/Gaylord near Macaroni Grill. ###-###-####

A third vote for Tipton Asher. I have a 7-yo DD with sensory issues who has to be sedated to go to the dentist. Dr. Asher and his staff has always been *wonderful* with her, taking whatever time she needs, and choosing to take things very slowly with her. He has been great with both our girls, and I don't forsee ever changing pedi dentists.

R. - Just FYI - We just got Aetna insurance and we actually have HMO - this is new for us because we have always had PPO - On Aetna HMO - you can not take a child older than 3 years old to a pedi dentist. They have to go to a regular dentist. I am currently looking as well so I have no referrals for you. Thanks!

Scott Thompson is a wonderful dentist near Parker and Independence. He has a great patient manner and his office is caring, but not pretentious. I am not sure of all the insurance that they accept, but they do accept many. I highly recommend him.

As for a pediatric dentist, my son loved Tipton Asher (near the hospital at Coit and 15th). When my son passed the age of going to Dr. Asher, he was sad. Dr. Asher is good to the patients, but he is also excellent at speaking with the parents and explaining the care and treatment that he recommends.

Check out Dr. Hooper. We have been going to him for ten years and he is great with kids and has an excellent team and staff. They take Aetna and are located off of Coit and Spring Creek.

Here is a little tip for you as your son grows. Take him with you every time you go to the dentist so he will be very familiar with the place and procedures - so when his time comes it won't be scary at all. I did that with both my kids and have avoided a lot of issues. I really hope it all works out well for you. God bless. K. S.

My children see Dr. Jeffery Jaynes in Plano on Coit. They have seen him for 9 years. I am not sure what insurance he takes but his whole building is Dentists, Orthodontists,Oral Surgeons. So I am sure they would be able to find someone in the building for the adults.

I don't know what insurance he takes, but Dr. Richard Chapman is an awesome dentist, both for kids and adults. My almost 3-year old sat for an entire cleaning without getting worried or scared even once - her first visit! They have a wonderful family atmosphere in the office. They're located near Parker & Custer in Plano.

My family and i use dr. goodowitz in plano. YOu pay in full and then file with your insurance. I have been taking my kids there since they were 4 they are only 7 and 5 but love going there. He is not a pediatric dentist but you dont really need one. Generally at a ped dentist you can not go back to the back with them, here you can. You get a full 30 minutes with them and the kids get a cool goodie bag when they are done. i am 34 and have used him since i was 3.

I second Tipton Asher. My daughter is 13 and we have gone to him since she was 2. He has a great staff as well.

The good part is.....he is on NO insurance plan. You pay and file yourself and get reimbursed. I have always been reimbursed almost exactly what my bill was. For instance, last month we had her last 4 molars sealed and it was $204. I was reimbursed $200. The only other services we have is routine cleanings and I am reimbursed for that as well.

He is worth it!!!!
