Hello, we will be moving to Chandler in January. My son is 4 and we would like to enroll him in a preschool nearby. I will be in Chandler in 2 weeks and would love to tour some preschools. I would love any recommendations anyone has. We are looking for something non-religious and only part-time. Thank you all for your help!!

What can I do next?

My recommendation is Wee Blessings (Chandler Heights & Arizona Ave). It's a new school and we are so excited to be part of the beginning. Please look into it!

Hi A.,

I would like to suggest Sunny Days Learning Center. They are located at Chandler Blvd and Dobson, in the NW corner. Those buildings are getting remodeled right now, so there is a lot of construction, but it will be worth it to check out the preschool. My son (who is now in 1st grade) went there from the time he was 1 until he started Kindergarten. They were so great. All of the teachers have been there for years and they are like a family. They also do a great job getting the kids ready for school (Sebastian passed the kindergarten readiness test when he was 3 and we didnt work with him at home at all). Cindy is the owner/operator and is really nice. They are priced really reasonably compared to other schools in the area.

The City of Chandler has an excellent Parks and Rec dept. and they have many choices of classes. Their "preschool" is called Apples to Zebras MWF or T/Th for 2 hours. We went to the Snedigar location and LOVED it. Both teachers are excellent. It is also the cheapest deal around. We also like all of Ms. Lisa's academic classes there which are usually 1-1 1/2 hours. www.chandleraz.gov/breaktime. I will definitely sign my second child up for all of the above classes too.

Many friends love Carebear Preschool and they have 2 locations in Chandler now.

Hi - my daughter goes to Creation Station Pre-School - it has MWF and TU TH a.m. and Afternoon classes - they are reasonable, non-denominational - not religious - inside, smaller classes, Very personable, Good Security, Great Owner/Teachers and she really likes it there and is Very Happy to go to school and comes home with stuff she did each school day - I would Def. Recommend this School - it is located in Chandler - on Riggs - and the owner's name is Lynn - Very Nice and Educated Woman and mother of 2 - 1 of which goes there.

Where in Chandler will you be living? Bright Horizons recently opened a new center in Chandler on Ray Road. My daughter goes to the center in Tempe (off Elliot) and we love it. They treat the teachers well and use a great curriculum.

Hi A., my son goes to Creation Station on Riggs + McQueen, they offer part-time places think options are mon/weds/fri or tues/thurs and they do both am and pm. He only started in May but settled really well and loves it. They have a website you can check out.
Hope you get something sorted.

Renaissance Preschool - in the area of Alma School and Germann is what I found for my son and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made! Their website is renaissancepreschool.us Phone: ###-###-#### Contact: Bonnie Grumski
It was started by these women that used to teach Elementary school, but then decided to stay home when they had babies. Now that the babies are preschool age, they decided to open up this preschool since they already knew how what kids should know going in to Kindergarten.
It is run out of one of the teachers' homes (Bonnie's) and she has the front room dedicated soley for preschool (there are pics on their website). They also use her back yard for "recess" and other activities. Like at Thanksgiving time they brought in a live turkey for the kids to look at...at Christmas they had a little music recital complete with reindeer hats. The experience just left me with that "exactly what I had in mind" feeling.
They went MWF from 8:30-11:30 (but I think the time was slightly changed for this year) and they follow the Chandler school district calendar so they have Christmas break, Spring Break, holidays and summer vacation just like them......and you don't have to PAY for those times like some places make you! The price per month varied based on how many days they were actually going to be in class and they let you know what each month would be for the entire year so there are no surprises (but just to be clear, you do still have to pay if YOU take them out for a day or 2).
From our experience, this was one of the greatest experiences I found for him. He started Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago and I he WAY already knows all of the stuff they've been doing so far......I'm actually sort of nervous that he'll get bored with school if they don't start doing more challenging stuff! :-)
Oh, last thing. I know they only have a certain number of openings/year and the last I knew there were still spaces open...but I don't know anymore so I am sorry if it's already full!
Good luck with your move!
