Hi! For Christmas my husband gave me a package of 5 facials. I went once in January and about 2 days later I broke out really bad,(which never happens to me, I have always had clear skin) I called the lady that did my facial, and she assured me that sometimes that can happen. Okay fine the blemishes went away in few days. I had another facial yesterday and am breaking out again!! I never went for facials before, is this normal? I'm not sure of the brand of products she uses. Has this happened to anyone before? & Is it normal? TIA

What can I do next?

It is very possible that your face could break out after the facial. If you can, get a list of the items in the facial products to see if you are sensative or allergic. I tried some products from Jaffra a while back and my face broke out continually until I stopped using it. Otherwise make up your own facial do it at home with your daughter since she is getting to that age. You could begin a routine for the two of you and have beautiful skin. Good luck to you. This has happened to me before too. The lady who did my facial said it was bc all the exfoliating and products they use will bring impurities to the top of the skin..causing you to break out. I guess this makes since.

I think it's not unusual... but if you can get something else done that you'd like.... like a massage or waxing... then do that.

My husband gives me those certificates as well. My certificates are not limited to facials. I have options for massage etc.

I have not had that problem, however, once during a facial the product she was using made my face feel like it was on fire. She removed the product, I had no breakout or issues but I never got a facial after that. In the past I had facials before and never a reaction like that.

Personally, I am very picky about the products used on my face. I prefer to have a nice massage, body wrap, or spa mani/pedi.
