I am new to town and need a OB in Colorado Springs. I cannot find many resources that recommend doctors with reviews, so I'm trying to see if the moms on this website can help. I've had a C-section with my first, will be very picky about the next doctor, because I'll most likely have to have another section. Any recommendations/experiences that you can offer to help? thank you!!!

Ellen Arendt is wonderful, I had a c-section with my first and she was fine with going for a second one with my son. She is in the new hospital on Powers and Woodmen. You will not be disappointed with her!!!!

I would recommend Dr. Roland Biaza, he's with Academy Women's Health. He was so great with my high risk pregnancy, and my sister (who is due in Jan.) loves him too. They used to be off of Academy and S. Carefree but just recently move to Woodmen and Powers area. I hope this helps!

I would recommend Dr. Peter Liehr. He delivered my first child by c-section and did an amazing job. The healing process went very well and I would recommend him to anyone. He is located at the north end of town, though, depending on where you are looking for a doctor.

My OB is Dr. Lasely. She is located on Pikes Peak in the Women's Associates, PC. There are quite a few doctors in that office and they all seem great. They have a website if you want to look at it. http://www.womensassociates.com I hope you find someone you are comfortable with.

Hi M.,
My son was a vaginal delivery, so I don't have experience with a dr. and c-sections specifically, but I would recommend both ob/gyns I have seen. Dr. Pam Richards is part of Women's Associates -- I believe someone else recommended another dr. from her office and gave the website. I went to her for 5 years before getting pregnant and having her deliver my son. I recently had to switch doctors due to an insurance change and, with many recommendations from Mamasource moms, chose Dr. Roland Baiza. He is with Academy Women's Healthcare Associates -- www.awha.com -- located at the new St. Francis Medical Center. So far, I have been incredibly pleased with him, as well. He is very personable, caring, funny... bedside manner is second to none. Good luck with your decision. I know it is an important one.

He attends all deliveries - unless he is out of town, which he is twice a year.

My first delivery was also a C-section (he was out of town and I have a feeling that I may not have needed one if he was present at my delivery).

When I got pregnant again, he assured me that there was no reason at all to assume I'd need another c-section.

I had a VBAC, and it was a wonderful empowering experience for me.

He's very hands off and respectful of birth plans.

Please take an opportunity to meet him - he is a wonderful doctor.

Hope this helps!

I am sure you will get lots of advice on this one so might be hard to choose once you get all the advice so good luck. My OBGYN is Dr. Peter Bianco with Colorado Springs Gynocology Associates. His office is small, but very busy. If you are looking for a big practice (many doctors) then this is not the place for you. He works with Sandy Winn, Nurse Practioner. Their website is http://www.cosga.com/ He isn't a soft cuddly doctor but that isn't to say he isn't sensitive and caring. He is very straight forward and gives you all the options easy to understand. They have ultrasound tech in house so you won't have to go to other locations for your ultrasounds. I love Sandy and appreciate what perspective she brings to the office. He specializes in high risk pregnancies. I rarely respond to folks but wanted to let you know about Dr. Bianco. I am sure he isn't for everyone but he was a good fit for me. My baby days are over and he will also a great GYN. I love to see all the pregnant ladies, young women and older women in his office. He cares for us all. Good luck, I know you will find someone that works for you. Just be persistent. I left two OB's before I found Bianco.

Dr. Lloyd Trujillo is one of the best in the city....His office is off of Lehman and Academy on Hollowbrook Drive. His partner Dr. Bret Kort is good as well, just very quiet and reserved.....

Academy Women's Health group is also good. Dr. Biaza is wonderful. They are located in the NorthCare building with the new St. Francis Hospital at Woodmen and Powers....
