Seeking Critique of BOB Stroller

My husband and I are thinking of getting one of the BOB strollers (we have a great rebate on our credit card), but don't know anyone who actually owns one. If you have one or know of someone who owns one, I would love to hear your feedback. We are considering the BOB with the car seat attachment as well.

What can I do next?

I have the BOB Revolution jogging stroller and I love it. It's not my primary, all-around stroller (for that I got the Graco travel system and it's wonderful). It's too heavy and big for that. But if you're a jogger or go all-terrain for walks and hikes, it's perfect.

I have a dualie BOB and couldn't live without it. I walk the kids to school in it---22 mo and 3.5yo. It's a little wide, but drives great. I have also done hiking on the Fullerton trails and some light running around Craig park. We did a lot of research and there really is no comparison.

I love the BOB. I use it about four times a week for jogging for our 1 year old boy(and have been using it since he was 6 months old). The whole family also uses it as the stroller to the park, etc... We have also used it for hiking. We think it is easy to use and durable as well as comfortable to use for running.
A little about me: I am a corporate lawyer living in Glendale; married for five years and having a fabulous time being a mom.

i own a bob. i love it. it's great for off roading, trails/hiking, and bumpy roads. it's supposedly great for older kids. (mine is only 6 mos.)
what i don't love about it is how big it is. restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, it's a pain in the butt. i crash into everything. maybe it's just me, but i think you may need a smaller stroller for errands and stuff. it breaks down easy. kinda heavy to put in the car, especailly with a baby in the front pack carrier.

Hi Julie!

I don't own a BOB but read great reviews on REI's website. Also, you can join the strollerswap yahoogroup which is full of parents who are practically addicted to strollers- lots of them mention the BOB and if you tell them what you are looking for I'm sure they will give you good advice.

I dont have one.. but I'm plannign on getting one myself because I've heard so much about it... I We are expecting a second child... and need a double stroller... the only negative is how big it is... specially the double one... if you only have one baby.... i also suggest peg perego strollers... we got a pliko3 peg perego... and LOVE it.. it's light and comfortable... and all of our friends with a baby have one (6 of them!).... of you want something a little more 'carriage like' you can get the pramette... that kinda transforms to a carriage as well.. we love their things so much we even bought the peg perego high chair and it's AMAZING.... it was more than i think all the other high chairs but worth EVERY PENNY

We bought it from babies r us.... main reasons being they offer a protection plan... you pay like $25-30 and if within a year there is ANYTHING wrong with it... you call them and no questions asked they send you a refund check ... after almost a year... one of the wheels on our stroller was making noise... so we called them up and they sent us a full refund... and we went and bought a new one again...

good luck~

We have the BOB Sport Utility Stroller (the front wheel is stable) and it is awesome. We also got the car seat attachment and that was great too when our son was too little to sit on his own. It is so great for running and hiking and to take on the beach. It is the SUV of strollers and I highly recommend it if you are active, outdoor people. But it is big and I don't use it for errands and just walking in the neighborhood. We actually have 2 other strollers for that stuff. A great lightweight stroller (when your baby can sit by him/herself) is the MacLaren stroller.

I LOVE my BOB revolution stroller. I had the single and have been using the double with the car seat attachment for about 2 months and love it as well. It turns on a dime is lightweight when pushing it and both my kids (2.5 years and 3 months) are comfortable in it. The only drawbacks are it is very bulky when folded (but most joggers are) and it doesn't have a "lock" to keep it closed when it is collapsed which can be annoying when you are trying to get it out of the car. I would recommend going to REI to "test drive" it around the store and also taking it out to your car to make sure it fits in your truck and/or cargo space. With my double, I have to take off the back wheels to get it into my trunk but it's quick. Good luck!

We have the Bob revolution single stroller and love it. My husband and I both use it for exercising as well as just running errands. About getting it into the car, I haven't found it to be too heavy, just awkward to get used to putting it in (we have an SUV). I usually put the baby in her carseat and then load it so I have more maneuverability.

I would definitely get the cup holder/organizer and the fuzzy seat liner as well.
