Hi! I'm looking for a pediatric dentist and pediatrician for my children. For the pediatrician, I prefer somewhere where I'm able to easily get same day sick appointments and phone calls returned in reasonable amount of time. I live in Naperville right now but am moving to Aurora in 204 district in March. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I love Dr. Reicherts (Pediatric doctor) in Naperville. His address is 4043 S. Rt 59, Naperville, IL 60564 Phone number is ###-###-#### and after hours emergency is ###-###-####. When we have called in the middle of the night, they have always returned our call within 2 minutes and that's if they didn't answer the phone when we initially called. Their office is broken into 2 sections. One for sick kids and the other for kids who are just getting shots. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome.

As far as dentists go, I have been taking both my kids to Grove Dental in Bolingbrook since they both turned 18 months. Thier number is ###-###-####. They have an adult side and pediatrics side so when I'm seen, the kids are also seen and if they get done before me, their staff stays with them (in the office, not waiting room) until I'm done.

They LOVE Dr. Chung and ironically look forward to going to the dentist.

I love our pediatrician, Dr. Law, at ABC Pediatrics. They are located on 75th St just west of Rickert. I have NEVER had a problem getting a sick appointment even when I've called at 4 pm. They always return calls within a half hour if not quicker. You always see your primary doctor for well appointments and they try to get you in w/them for sick appointments but if they are not in that day or you need a different time they will set you up with another dr. I like all the doctors and nurses there. Most importantly I have never felt rushed at any appointment. www.abcpediatrics.net

One more vote for Small Smiles! Dr. Dave is wonderful, and my super-shy daughter considers it a treat to go to her dentist appointments. The only drawback is that the wait to get an apppointment might be long. I think I had to wait six months to get my daughter's first appointment. But it was well worth the wait.

I like Dr. Lorene Eckberg at Dreyer Medical Fox Valley, right next to the Mall. They have an online service called MyChart that allows you to make appts., email your doctor with non-emergency questions (which are returned within the hour in my experience), your medical records are available for you to check on if you have any questions or forms to fill out. When I have needed an appt for a sick child, I can get in no problem although I may not be able to see my doctor but another one in the practice. I find all the nurses to be very helpful and have a great demeanor. They are also serious about service and follow up with phone calls to make sure your visit went well. I am also looking for a pediatric dentist as the one I was going to, I don't care for. So thanks for asking that question!

Small Smiles on Bay Scott Drive in Naperville is a great pediatric dentist. My daughter loves going there. They do not use doors around the exam area, there is a play area for before they go in, movies playing and they interact with the kids during the exams. you are not allowed back there, it is their time like big people. She was not afraid at all to be there. She loves going. Dr. Dave is terrific with the kids.

Pediatrician - I use Naperville Pediatrics. There are three doctors there, and they are all good. Dr. Ira Rubin is the main doctor, Dr. Lawande (she is really good) and Dr. K (that's what we call him), my 16 year old loves him. They are all friendly, and it is easy to get in for a sick check and well checks. They even have a sick room so that the well kids are separate. I have gotten in on Saturday and Sundays before. The doctor on call is great about calling back. If you call with a question, you will more often than not, get a direct call from the doctor themselves rather than a nurse. Love this practice. They are by Edward Hospital in Naperville.

I have the best pediatric dentist in the world. They are miracle workers...my son would not even sit in a dentist chair we tried three times over a year and half. We went there when he was four and he came out with clean teeth and was happy. You do send your kids back alone...but it is very open with parents coming and going so I feel it is safe. If anyone has questions they can contact me. There is typically a waiitng list but it is worth it. http://www.smallsmiles.org/

My pediatric practice is very good also. It has multiple doctors. You call with a sick kid and they nurse calls you back within a half our to hour. Then the two of you decide if you need an apt. that day. I have felt strongly about my son being seen before and told them that and why and just gotten an apt. You do not get to choose your dr. for sick apts. but you do for well and follow-up visits. They are associated with Edwards which we have unfortunatley landed at for a weekend and it was great also.

I have been through multiple doctors and dentists early on and have landed at these two places for the long haul. They both right off of Route 59 and 75th/95th.
