Since my second child was born we have relocated to Forney from out of state. I would like to find a reputable AND affordable place to have her portrait made. Are there any places that someone would recommend? I live in Forney, but can easily get to Mesquite or Rockwall. I would go into Dallas if it were the only option.
I really like Family Photo in Mesquite. It is across from Town East Mall. You can take changes of clothes and they will change the scenes. I know when we did it, it was reasonable, but it has been quite a while since I used them. Hope this helps.

We get our family and my son's pictures done at JC Pennys at Town East Mall in Mesquite. They do an excellent job, are very good with getting the kid's attention and getting great shots. As far as price goes, not sure what is inexpensive to you but they send out coupons all the time for like 3.99 sheets or 8.99 portrait packages, you can also find them online at jcpportraits.com. Kiddie Kandids in Babies R Us in Mesquite off Town East Blvd. is the place to go. They deal with babies, toddlers & kids of all ages on a daily basis so they know exactly how to get them to smile. They will also do family portaits. We've had all of our 19 month olds pics taken there & have been very satisfied. Their photo packages are probably comparable to JCPenney or Sears prices. I would recommend them over JCPenney or Sears (especially the ones in Mesquite) anyday. We took our daughter for pics at 4 months & went to Sears. They don't have anything to prop your child up with so I had to stand behind the curtain & hold her up. I didn't even stay to look at the pics. We made an appt at Kiddie Kandids & have never went anyplace else.

If you are wanting photography, I had a great experience with Target but I think a lot depends on the photographer you get, so you might ask for one experienced in little ones. I do the other kind of portraits - drawing/painting type....
