Seeking Working Moms Club

I work a full time job and that pretty much leaves me on my own as far as mommy groups go. I'd love to find other working moms that can relate to our struggles that also want to get together so our little ones can get some interaction. I also feel really cut off from other moms and often feel i'm on my own in this situation.

What can I do next?

I was just curious what at home job you were looking into doing? I'm also a fulltime mom of 2 and I'm always looking for at home businesses to get into. I'd love to stay home! Let me know what you've found. Thank you

I looked up the Working Mom's Group - it sounds great. Thanks for the advice.

Working Moms Fellowship

First Friday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Lounge

It’s been said that the term “working mom” is redundant—because all moms work. Of course, this is true. However, those of us who are among the paid workforce face a unique set of challenges, from how to provide nutritious meals for our families when we don’t get home until 6:00 p.m., to balancing our family priorities with the demands of our jobs. We even feel guilty for taking time out for ourselves. Truth is, we’ll be better prepared to face the daily challenges if we allow ourselves to recharge mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This group is designed to help “workforce moms” provide much needed encouragement, mentoring, and prayer support for each other. Come and join us once a month for devotions, discussions, and a little fun!

Location: Lounge
Day / Time: Friday / 7:00 p.m.
Leader: Julie Natzke
Notes: Meets the first Friday of the month.

I know the feeling. I work from home full time with my consulting business and I can't exactly make playdates during regular business hours.

Look into Mothers and More (mothersandmore.org). It was originally designed for women who had altered their career paths after having children. The chapter I was a part of in Albuquerqeu was NOT full of stay-at-homers, although there were many members who stayed home full time. There were also women who worked full and part time outside the home and who changed careers when they had kids. Most importantly, I thought it was for women whose careers/jobs had been an important part of their lives, and whose kids are also important. Check it out!

Hi, PLs. check out St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Des Peres. No, you do not have to be Lutheran!! www.stpaulsdesperes.org They have a working moms group. I believe they will meet Fri. night, at 7pm. Julie Natzske is a gal you can ask for. Tell her A. Gray gave you her name. Great gals. Great place!! I belong to their MOPS (Mother Of Preschoolers) group.
