I have some blue stains on my white leather purse and no idea what it is or how it got there.
I appears like it could be ink or some kind of marker, but we don't even have blue markers.
I've tried hairspray, cleaning clothes with bleach, and Dawn dish detergent. I have one more spot remover product to use that says it's safe for leathers as well as other fabrics.
I need some help!! It's my favorite purse, and I've only had it for about three months and want to carry it for the rest of the summer! (It's solid white on one side, a hobo style with the other side having checkered squares of the white, bronze, silver, and gold. Might sound gawdy, but it's a lovely purse that goes with almost everything and I've gotten many compliments.

Still working on it; tried the Melaleuca spot remover, took a little of it out, but it's still very noticeable. Tried some oily solvent that a book I have recommended, didn't do anything. I'm going to try the Mr. Clean or th Goo Remover stuff when I get to the store to pick some up.
If nothing works, I'll start my hunt for a new purse; I'm so fussy about them, I hate shopping for one, but when I find what I like, I'm happy. Maybe now is a good time to get one for fall/winter in a tan or dark brown shade or one of the new metallics that are considered "neutral".

try using peroxide. It may take you a litle time but I have been able to remove old blood stains, old grass stains etc out.

There is a product called Sol-U-Mel that can remove that stain. It has even removed permanent marker from my kitchen floor. You can't get it in stores. Email me if you are interested.

Go to www.ehow.com and it looks like they have alot of options there on how to get almost anything out of leather.

try the ubiquitious Mr. clean magic eraser! It just took black Sharpie off of my kitchen table!!!

My queen of clean book says:
"To remove spots from leather (not for suede), try using cuticle remover. Rub it into the spot, wait 10 minutes, and then massage the area with a cloth dipped in the cuticle remover. Wipe down thoroughly. To remove spots from suede, try dabbing with white vinegar."

Try Goo Gone. It comes in a pump spray bottle and smells citrusy. You can buy it in the grocery store, Target, Wal-Mart etc. It works on almost everything. Good luck

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is awesome for getting ink or crayon marks off walls etc. Make sure if it is safe for leather, not sure. You can get it at any department store.
Hi! well it really does sound like it's set in, but I would recommend trying "Leather CPR" leather cleaner. I've only been able to find it at Wal Mart. It's in the cleaning aisle, in a large white plastic jar. Good luck...
