I am going to be in need of a new stroller as I am due with my 2nd child this summer! My son will be 3 by the time the baby is born and I'm wondering what you moms out there suggest! My 3yr old hates the stroller so I'm not even considering getting a regular double stroller. I have been looking at the Joovy ultralight sit n stand stroller! Any of you out there have it and like or dislike it??

What can I do next?

Yes! I have the Joovy and love it. It's small, light and easy to drive. My son is 3 and he jumps on and off when he wants, it's great. And if I just take my daughter it's fine for just one.

I have the Joovy ultralite Caboose, and love it! My son is now 4 and 3 months, and my daughter is 11 months. My son loves to run around and then just climb into the stroller, and he loves the option of sitting or standing. I think he loves the stroller more than anyone else! It is a little big, but I figure any double stroller will be big. One problem is that the front seat does not recline very far back. Normally we don't have an issue with that when we're just out for short periods of time, but when we spent the whole day at Legoland, it was hard for the baby to nap. Another issue is the basket is not that big. But overall we're still very happy with the Joovy Caboose.

I have the Joovy and love it. It steers well and gives the older child the opportunity to sit if tired. The only down side is that it is very large when folded.

I have a 23 month old and a 2 month old. I recently purchased the Joovy Ergo stroller and love it. Right now, the 23 month old sits in the front seat and the infant carrier is on the back. But when my baby is about 6 months old he can go in the front seat and my almost 2 year old can then sit in the back. I love it, but here are a few things I have noticed: the basket is not that big for storage and it is hard to get to when you have the infant carrier in. It does not come with a place for parents to put their drinks, etc, so you have to buy that separately. I am currently waiting for that to be delivered. But other than those 2 things, I really like the stroller. My son does not like to be in strollers either and so far he hasn't minded riding in it.

I have a Peg Perego Pliko 3 and I love it! I have 2 daughters that are 2 years and 10 months apart and I bought this stroller when my little one was about a year old. They are now 4 ½ and 7 ½ and we used it for a trip to Disney last month! It very much has the appearance of being a single stroller, very light and easy to fold, but it has a “foot board” on the back for the older child to stand on. The older child can only stand, not sit, but it is very comfy and plenty of space for them to stand. My very tall 7 year old can still stand on the back. I was able to buy a new, older color scheme online for about $100 cheaper than the retail store prices. I went to a Babies R US to check it out, folded it and unfolded it, put my children in it and then went home and ordered it much cheaper online! I bought that stroller over 3 years ago, it was the last stroller I’ve purchased and well worth every penny!

I haven't tried the Joovy but just wanted to suggest making sure your 3 yr old has the opportunity to sit in the stroller before you buy it. I had the Kolcraft double stroller. My 3 yr old was really too big for the seats. It was very uncomfortable. The pictures on-line look fine...Were I to do it again, I'd go with a sit and stand style.

I had one & daughter was 16 mth when second one came. She did not like it. I ended up using seat for shopping bag storage since you can not get to net storage underneath easily. ui also bought hooks to hang bags from. Didn't use it often & I could have done with out it. I used a harness I daughter preferred it to the stroller.

I was in the same situation (son is 3.5 and just had a baby in November). We went with the Joovy Ultralite and really like it. The only downside is it's pretty long, so you'll need to make sure it fits in your trunk. And I can't figure out how to make it stand up when collapsed without falling over, but that might just be me. I'm happy with it overall.

Good luck.

They also have cute little harnesses for kids, I used one for my first child, when we would go out in public places and we feared she would stray. Right now walmart has a monkey, harness that almost looks like a back pac with a leash for under 10.00. Maybe you can let your husband push one stroller when you have no choice but to take 2.

I had a 3 yr old and a newborn also. Why do you feel the need to put your 3 y.o. in a stroller? If he hates it, why not just let him walk? Unless you are doing some major power walking, he can probably just walk with you. Luckily, my older daughter held onto the stroller handle and walked right next to me, but we did talk about it a lot, and she understood the importance of not playing games when we were out and about. I never had a double stroller. Why not just try letting him walk, you may save yourself a few hundred bucks!
