I need some Thanksgiving craft ideas for my playgroup. It will mainly be something for 3 year olds. It needs to be something easy, cute, and cheap to get supplies. This can be something to give to a grandparent or anything. I've googled it and i really just can't find anything.

TIA!

What can I do next?

They can do the turkey stamps using their hands. You just need different colors of paint (brown, yellow, orange, etc.), paper plates, hole punch, and string to hang it. You just have your child use their hand in the brown to make the body of the turkey and then either use various colors or you can use colorful feathers to decorate further.

You can also do nature stamps- get different leaves outside and using the side of a crayola you can put the leaf under a piece of paper and get the impression of the leaf with the crayola. Just put a hole punch in and tie a string to hang.

Good luck.

They could make the indian head band things using construction paper as the part that goes aroung the head and then glue either real feathers or make them out of construction paper on it and do stickers on it or glitter or whatever.

You can use tracing paper an get them to trace a pic of a Turkey on art paper then try to decorate it a little coloring it etc. My kid started using tracing paper at 3-4 so she knew how to write before she started school. Or trace thier hand to make a turkey an try coloring it. An maybe glue a few feathers etc to it with colored art paper. You might have all the feathers all ready cut out so it makes it simple an easy for you. Have some kind of little bead to glue on for an eye etc. might be fun for them.

Handprint turkey! Type up this poem and print on cardstock. I like it on a creamy color.

This isn't just a turkey as you can plainly see.
I made it with my hand which is a part of me.
It comes with lots of love especially to say,
I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving Day!

Paint the palm and thumb brown and the remaining fingers red, orange, yellow, & green. Make a print on the turkey poem page. After its dry add a beak, gobbler, and legs. Don't forget to date it!

They have a lot of good crafts all ready to be done and they're inexpensive. They even have a store in Carrolton, I think. Well, I just looked and couldn't find it. Used to be on the corner of Beltline and Josey.

I always like doing place mats with my kiddo's. They are so easy and very cheap. Dollar Tree will be the only place u need to go. get a book or colored construction paper, some markers. Have them draw what they think Thanksgiving looks like and means. Once they are done you can take them to Kinko's and have them laminated. they make great gifts for anyone in the family, or keep it to use every Thanksgiving.
