Two Completly Unrelated Requests: Double Strollers & Cutting Nails

My eighteen month old son has decided he is scared of having his nailscut. Admittedly I often cut them when he was asleep, so he may be unused to it. He cries, runs away, you name it when we attempt to cut them. Any ideas? We'vemodeled Mommy cutting
Daddy's nails, etc.
The other question is about double strollers that will work with a Chicco infant carrier. We are expecting baby number two in January. I'd like a stroller that is not side to side and works with carrier. My car isnot huge, so one that is rather compact would also be ideal. Thanks for the advice!

I loved my Chicco Travel system. Still use my single stroller with my 30lb 14month old son. I have another little one due in February, so I contacted Chicco to find out if there are plans for a compatible double stroller any time soon.
This is the respose I received:

Dear Chicco Customer,

We will be introducing a tandem double stroller that will accept 2 of our car seats. This should be introduced approximately December 2009. We suggest that you check our website at www.chiccousa.com for updates on these products.

The Contours Options Tandem made by Kolcraft will accept one of the Chicco infant car seats. We also suggest the Joovy Standon Caboose or the Joovy Big Caboose. Our car seats can be buckled into these strollers. We hope you find this information helpful.

Regards,

am ; i would cut them like when they are watching a movie, and hold his little handy, and then cut them , when he sees you , he will pull his hand back and you can say its ok watch, and then clip his nails while making a noise like zipp or clip clip clip, ok now lets finish them, or continues to do them while asleep, or teach them to do it themselves, have fun and enjoy life, D. s

I have a Sit N Stand, there is just a bar in the front that most all car seats fit over, and then the older child can sit facing you, or stand if they wish. My now three year olds loves it. It is a front to back and not near as expensive as some double strollers! It is a little bulky, but what double stroller isn't. Good luck, hope this helps. If you are looking for more compact you may want to consider a double jogger, the wheels can come off some models, or can even fold up! I am now looking for one since my daughter will be a year next march. Joggers are a much smoother ride and so versatile!

My boys are the same way so I use a distraction. When I need to cut one of my twins' nails, I give him something to hold and look at in his other hand (or hands, if I'm cutting toe nails). It has to be something he's not allowed to touch at any other time -- a bright marker (with cap on), a chunky necklace, or another pair of light-up clippers I have. Usually I can get the nails clipped before the distraction wears off but I can just hand him something else if I need more time. I also have good luck cutting toe nails while they're eating happily in their high chairs with a little TV on for distraction. Good luck!
