I am hoping to find out about some local children's clothing/toy sales. I went to one today in Lisle, and I know there was one in Wheaton but couldn't make it. Does anyone know of others coming up? I have two boys who are in 2T and 18 m. clothing. Thanks!
Wow! Thanks, Everyone. Some of these are close by, and I'm happy they're next weekend. If anyone knows of others, please forward on. I am really looking for clothes, as well as toys, but I've heard some sales can't sell the used toys anymore due to a new lead-toy "law." Thanks again for these tips, though.
St Isidores - Army Trail and Gary. Sale is this coming weekend. Great sale - everything on racks and organized by size! I know someone mentioned about no kids...but I think they have an agreement with Kindercare this year for free childcare? May want to call to find out.
St. James the Apostle in Glen Ellyn is having one Friday April 17 7-10pm and Saturday April 18 8:30-11:30am. $1 Admission on Friday, NO KIDS/STROLLERS (says in caps on the flyer). Kids are welcome on Saturdy and it's 1/2 price. Cash only, you need to bring your own bags.
I am a seller at this sale and they have LOTS of stuff and lots of people. You can find coats, shoes, toys and of course clothes as well as baby stuff.

Saint Isidore Church in Bloomingdale is having a children's clothing sale next weekend. It starts on Friday and continues until saturday afternoon.I bought my toddler bed there and tons of toys, accessories. Only rule is: no kids or strollers allowed, so that parents can shop freely. I was a memwber of this group when my kids were younger, and they are very diligent about taking clean, unstained clothes. ANd with memeber have twins or triplets, thare are a TON of things.
There will be a toy & equipment resale in Elmhurst at Epiphany Lutheran Church (Spring & Vallette?) on Saturday, March 21. I cannot remember what time it starts, but I think it is something like 8 - 12. They have sales twice a year. The clothing sale was three weeks ago...the fall clothing sale will probably be in September sometime followed by the toy & equipment one a week or so later. Take care, H.

St. Pius in Lombard (on Westmore-Meyers Rd. between Roosevelt and St. Charles) has a big kids resale coming up this weekend - the 20th and 21st. Friday is 6:30-9:30, no children $1 admission Friday only. Sat. is 9-12
Highlands Elementary School in Naperville is having a clothing sale April 16 & 17. They have only infants and childrens clothes (up to 5T, I think). Highlands is located just southeast of downtwn Naperville - near the North Central College football and baseball stadiums. Mary J. mentioned the one I was going to suggest..St. James on Park Blvd in Glen Ellyn (Between Butterfield and Roosevelt) My DIL used to go to one they had in September. She brought home tons of stuff some with tags still on and brand new for very little money...She's right about Cash only, I think..
Wheaton Christian Grammar School is having a community-wide book and toy sale (and bike collection) Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the school on Harrison just west of President.
It's organized by the 8th grade class and proceeds go to His Wheels International (www.hiswheelsintl.org)
There is one at a school called Western Avenue clothing sale. It's a PTA fundraiser. I believe it's in Geneva. They have an entire school gym filled with gear, toys and clothes. I think that the spring sale either is about to happen or just did.
It's great to volunteer for this as you get to "pre-shop" - get to shop before the public gets in.

Edgewood school in woodridge has one not sure of the date. It is a really good sale. Done it when my kids were younger. Look into it , it is well worth your while. If you can sign up to work it. Then you can go to the presale again well worth your while. Call to find out you won't be dissapointed.

I love these sales too. Unfortunately, there was a few the weekend of March 15th and I was on vacation. April 4th is Brook Park School in La Grange Park, and May 2nd is Will County Mother of Multiples in Bolingbrook. Look on Craigslist too.
