Wedding in Just Under 3 Months!!! HELP!!!

Ok, so my brother-in-law is getting married at the beach on June 13, just under 3 months away.... I would love to lose some weight, as much as possible, before then. Does anyone have any suggestions? Short of not eating and drinking water, I don't know what will work FAST!!! :o) Please Help!!

It is an extremely heathy way to lose weight. I have eaten many of the meals and you are allotted SO much...you definitely won't be hungry on this.

Hi L., I have found the most effective way to loose it fast AND healthy is low carb ...think lean Protein...Fish, chicken, Turkey, egg whites and veggies...drink lots of water and do some sort of workout every day. Its hard for the first 2 weeks but once your body adjust you won't crave carbs or sweets. Also you MUST give yourself a cheat day...don't go crazy but allow yourself a goody day. Good luck!!

I used a diet called Matol... it is high protein / lo carb diet with additional supplements. I have tried many other diets and I failed because I would cheat. This diet provides most of the food and tells you specifically what foods you can eat otherwise. I'm not sure if I was so good because I was paying for it or because I finally decided to do it, but after the first week it was easy to eat correctly.

Sadly over Xmas I started slipping and haven't fully got back on the band wagon, but the good news is, even half heartedly following the diet I haven't gained anything!!). I have lost 64 lbs in the past year... if you stick religiously to the diet you are going to lose 3 to 5 lbs a week. I on the other hand added some things like cheese/nuts to my salads and lost at a rate of 2.5 to 3 lbs a week.

It isn't cheap, about $400 a month and they don't really call it a diet they call it a pancreas protocol... but it is a diet. It is a MLM company and you have a coach to help you understand the program and give support. If interested let me know and I can refer you to my coach. A friend of mine did great going lo carb and using ALLI. I bought the ALLI kit - read the warnings and decided it wasn't for me... she said she never had any problems with side effects.

I have lost 7 lbs in 3 weeks and the way I am doing it is not eating 6 times a day, who does that. I have some yogurt with a couple spoons of any kind of cereal I want in the morning, don't get lite of anything, they add more sugar to that. for lunch, I make a sandwhich and cut it in half and only eat half, if I get hungry before dinner I will eat the other half. And just a regular dinner, what you put on your plate only eat half of it. jello and coolwhip makes a great dessert and helps with the sweet tooth. drink pineapple juice in the morning and at night, is a great digestive track cleanser.

The diet of a diabetic works great.

You eat 6 small meals a day w/limited carbs

Breakfast, max 45 carbs
snack 1 : max 15 carbs (small piece of fruit)
Lunch: max 45 carbs
Snack 2: max 15 carbs
Dinner: max 45 carbs
Snack 3: max 15 carbs

pair quick carbs (fruit) with protein. For example for breakfast, pair a piece of fruit w/an egg for a snack try an apple w/pnut butter (not to much pnut butter, its high in fat)

The only way to loose weight is what we have all heard over and over. Don't diet, make a lifestyle change. That's what I have done in my quest to loose weight after baby number two. I eat whatever I want/make for dinner. Just cut back your portion sizes. I even let myself have a little treat, like a hand full of m&ms because I am a huge sweets person. If I diet and totally cut myself off from stuff like that, I just end up falling off the wagon hard! You need to increase your physical activity. By far the hardest part at first! That first week, I FORCED myself to do it. I have an eliptical machine and I use that at night after the kids go to bed while I watch TV. I started off at 15 minutes, now I do 30. I go for walks on my lunch break or with one of my kids in the stoller at home. I take the stairs whenever it is a choice between them or the elevator. I have also borrowed work out videos like Tae Bo and do those about twice a week. Whatever exercise you can fit in, you have to do it. Now, I love it. Every day I think about "what will I do today?". People at work and my family can't believe how quickly I have lost weight. I have lost about 22 pounds in 4 months. I now realize why it is working so well. I finally made that "lifestyle change" that I never thought would happen.! Don't diet and don't pay money to do it! Those things will only be temporary. You don't even need supplements. Just get off the couch whenever you can (which can be very difficult, I know). I have two kids and work full time. There is nothing I would rather do than sit and do nothing whenever possible! But then I look at myself in the mirror and that is my encouragement. Good luck!

If you drink 1-2 glasses of water before a meal, you won't have room to eat much. The water will also help your metabolism. Also, try and do at least 30 minutes of cardio. I aim for 3-4 days a week but if I'm really in a crunch, increase. And sometimes on my "blast off" week when I start, I do AM and PM workouts. The exercise is good for depression, just don't let the idea of doing it stress you out. You can do it!!

It depends on how many pounds you wish to loose. If it's 10-20lbs it can be done, but 80lbs can be tough in such a short period of time. For my wedding I ate a lot of salads and protein like fish, seafood, chicken and turkey and drank close to a gallon of water a day. Plus a bit of stress or exercise to keep your heart pumping and it worked!!! Less carbs, more protein and vegetables and by all means exercise!!! It all helps. Good luck!

I take anti-depressants as well...so I understand:) Also, I have lost a TOTAl of 16 lbs. and 6 inches in ONE MONTH!! I go to a medi-spa in Tarpon Springs and get weekly nutrition visits/vitamin shots/diet supplements. I am on a low-carb diet that has CHANGED my life and the way my family eats. The first things you need are true motivation and determination to reach your goal. Losing weight is much easier if you have self-discipline. There's no need for special formulations and "diets". Portion control and whole foods, such as steamed veggies, lean proteins, and limited dairy consumption will get you there. It will also get you there fast. It's what kept people lean and fit throughout the ages. Nothing about that has changed. Consumerism from the processed foods we eat to the diet programs we buy into are what changed.

Almost all processed foods contain appetite enhancers, even the "light" ones. Beware of them. Also, dairy is in most processed food as well (sometimes called whey or whey protein). Dairy is one of the main ingredients for weight gaining programs, so understand that eating too much really will sabotage your goal. You can get calcium from the veggie milks (oat, hazlenut, and hemp are my favorites). Anything with unfamiliar non-food sounding ingredients is probably more hype than help, and may even be harmful. Fresh is best.

And yes, excercise is great, but the results with whole foods were so dramatic, it wasn't necessary for me.

I had to have my gallbladder out a few years ago, but before they removed it, I could not eat ANY fat. I dropped weight so fast I couldn't believe it. But I also had the back up that eating any fat caused extreme pain. This includes all oil, butter, milk products, etc. But it did work. Someone else told me that if you walk around with 1 pound ankle weights on you as you go through your day it will help you loose weight. Just a thought someone told me. Good luck!

Exercise more. Have you ever watched THe Biggest Loser? THey exercise like crazy and eat enough healthy foods - lean protein and fresh fruits and vegetables. Starvation diets slow the metabolism and can lead to muscle loss which can make you lose pounds but not inches.

Well there are a few things that you can do that will work great! I am 5'7" and weighed 180lbs when my daughter was born and went down to 130 in 3 months and am now at 113lbs (she is 4 now).

Since I couldn't work out for a little while I started with a healthy diet. I ate Special K cereal for breakfast, and for lunch I had a grilled chicken salad (with whatever I wanted on it, but had to be fat free dressing, and I would cook the chicken with dinner the night before). For dinner, I just ate with my family. I didn't have any snacks in between, but if you must I would only recommend fruit.

To maximize results I would jump on an elliptical 4 days a week for 30 min (this is how I lost it the fastest!!).

You can also look into local natural health stores, or your physician for B-12 shots. Which help assist you by giving you energy and lowering your appetite. And you can't over dose on B-12 so it is sooo much safer than trying a diet pill. I also just learned to start adding spicy food to my meals. By eating Jalapenos (or hotter) it makes your metabolism increase because they are harder to digest (for best results eat one 30 min before meal). I use Habanaro (sp) sauce on my bagels and cream cheese every morning. And add Jalapenos to almost everything.

eating a well balanced diet (6 small meals a day) like mentioned by the others. Lots of water. 20 min of cardio (treadmill) a day and pilates. You can purchase a basic pilates video. You'll see MAJOR results if you keep at it in 10 weeks max.

Do a low carb diabetic diet. It's really just a big change in eating habits. I have lost a lot of weight on it. The doctor put me on it. Also take two cinnamon tablets a day. That boosts your metabilism. Depending on your size you should start at 2200 or 2000 calories a day. I am allowed 4 carbs for breakfast, 1 for 9:00 snack, 5 for lunch, 2 for 3:00 snack, 4 for supper and 1 for 9:00 snack. I am on a 2000 calorie diet. I am not losing it super fast but about four to five pounds a month. The good thing is if you start following this eating pattern it's something that you can stick to the rest of your life. It's well worth the try. My husband has lost a lot of weight on it also.
