Which Stroller to Take to Disney?

I am asking this question for months in advance just because I am thinking of it already. We are taking a family trip to Disney World. At the time my kids will be 2.5 and almost 5. We will be spending 3 days in Disney. I was wondering what stroller I should take? We are flying. I have a light single stroller and a sit and stand (that is hard to turn when both kids are riding in it) Or should I rent one when I get there? This will be our first time going in March.

Thanks!!

We went last summer and rented a double stroller, very reasonable. I rented a single stroller at the Disney Studios, bad mistake as my 2 kids fought over who gets to sit in the single stoller. We rented the double at Disneyworld and I thought my 3 year old would be the one to use it more, but my 7 year old and my niece, 11, used it more than my 3 year old. We flew as well and I didn't bring a stroller with us. Have a great time.

We've done both . . . taken our stroller and rented.
I love the rented double stroller. Your five year old WILL get tired. Its hot and crowded. You'll need something for both. The rented double has a huge top to put counter service food trays, maps, and anything else you can think of on top. It drives like a dream!! Bring a unique ribbon to tie to the handle so you know which one is yours!! The issues are waiting in line to rent and return . . . the PRICE!!! . . . and having no stroller to get to from the parking area to the gates. Although, I did take my umbrella to the rental counter and they kept it for me while I rented at the Animal Kingdom so I'm sure you could do that. You'll definitely want a stroller in the airport for your little one, even if you don't use it at the parks.
When we went the first time, we took our regular stroller for our baby (he was 9 months) and an umbrella for our 4 year old. We folded the umbrella one up and fit the wheels in the storage area under the seat of the bigger stroller. We used a small luggage strap to connect the handles together. It worked great for when our older son didn't want to ride.
Good luck with your decision. I have a hard time pushing the sit and stand and its so big to take on the plane.
Disney is my favorite place on Earth!!! Have a great time!

I would bring the single stroller for the airport, and if it reclines then I would take that into Disney and rent a single for your 5 year old. If it doesn't recline then I would rent a double. Count on both kids needing a stoller. Have fun!

Forget the heavy stroller! We went to Disney with a single, light Maclaren Volo. We took one 2-year-old, though. I think a 5-year-old could walk, and if you did intend to spend enough hours there that he couldn't, the 2-year-old would burn out anyway. :)
Make it as easy as possible on yourself when flying, and trying to get around a crowded Disney. Light strollers rule.

I would say it depends on where you are staying. I stayed in the Polynesian, right on the monorail, and rented a Disney stroller when I went with my 3 year old. The Disney stroller was convenient, but when she fell asleep I really wished I could take her home in it on the metro rather than having to wake her up and carry her or make her walk. I personally would go with the light stroller, and maybe renting for your 5 year old if he/she gets tired (and you have an extra set of hands to push). If you have to deal with a car or bus anyway, you might as well go with the Disney rentals.

Good luck!

You can rent a double stroller from Disney, they can fit both kids and are nice and clean. I would take the single stroller to the airport since it is easier to load and unload. The sit and stand can be a pain sometimes :)

Have fun!

RENT ONE! We took our double umbrella this summer and ended up getting so frustrated with it when park hopping, having to unpack and fold and hold every time we took a bus to different park. On our second day we rented one and you just keep your receipt and when you leave one park you hand in your stroller and then when you get to the next park show your receipt and they will give you another. It was so much easier.

I brought my umbrella stroller and was glad I did. I would bring an umbrella (a cheap one) and rent a double when it's needed.
