Baby Gear Confusion!

Hi there, I'm a first-time expecting mom. I feel completely clueless as to what "equipment" i need to buy. I assume I need something to carry the baby in, something for him to sleep in, and I figure probably a breast pump since I'll be working (unfortunately). Can you please give me some suggestions as far as what you have found works best??? *I've had a lot of recommendations for the Snap-n-Go strollers - yea or nay? *What about carriers - Baby Bjorn? WrapnWear? Sling? *I've heard you can just use a PacknPlay deal as a bassinet...

Baby Bjorn Carrier Air

I'm thinking about getting the Baby Bjorn Carrier Air for my daughter (3months). We live in AZ (HOT!!!) and she doesn't like being hot at all! Does this carrier really keep baby cooler than a traditional carrier? And how is it on your back? Any suggestions? Thanks! EDIT!! Sorry, I didn't mean I want to carry my baby on my back, I meant how does your back feel while wearing it. Sorry for the confusion!

Mommy and Baby Products

I just had a quick question. I have several family members who are going to be having babies here really soon. I have my ideas of what to get them but I am requesting others ideas. So my questions are if you were given a mommy and bay basket at he hospital what products or things would you just want to have in it? Also what item or product could you absolutely not live without with a newborn? What item or product that you did not want at all? Thanks a head of time for the input I appreciate it. Aloha M.

Is Baby Bjorn Bad??

I just read in someone else's post that she was looking for a new carrier because she heard the Baby Bjorn was bad for the baby's spine. I carry my 4 1/2-month old daughter in a Baby Bjorn several times a week on our morning walk, so hearing it might be bad worried me. Does anyone have more information about this? Thanks!!

Flying Alone with an Infant and a Toddler

I am getting ready to fly from New Hampshire to Oklahoma with my 6-month-old infant and my nearly-3-year-old daughter. I will be traveling alone, so does anyone have any tips or tricks to share that may make this trip go smooth? I am also not sure if I should take my sit-n-stand stroller (or if it will even be allowed on board) or if I should just use my baby Bjorn for my infant and take my single stroller for my older child? I only have a 45 min connection between flights on the way out. Comments? Suggestions? Any help would be...
