Exzema/dry Skin on My 22 Month Old

my daughter has dry skin all over. Drier patches on her elbows and the back of her arms, her thighs and calves. She scratches her tummy and her upper and lower back often. I have tried lots of creams and stuff and nothing seems to work well. We use cortizone for the itching but her skin is still ALWAYS dry. Is there a different cream that you have used succesfully. I have also thought about putting her on an Omega 3 childrens supplement.

What Products to Use for an Infant Who Has a Rash

Hi I was wondering what products many of you recommend for an infant (2 month old) who has a very bad sandpaper like rash all over her body. Her back is actually peeling today since her skin has been so dry. I did take her to her Pediatrician who ruled out any illness. He stated it may be sensitive skin or she may be having a reaction to a food that I am eating as she also has very bad reflux along with it. I use dreft detergent on all clothes/linens that come into contact with her. I use Eucerin on her skin which does seem to help a...

Getting Desitin Out of Clothes

Does anyone have any tips for getting Desitin (the ointment) out of clothes? I was diapering my son on my lap last night (because he was in pain from the rash) and ended up getting it all over my pants - cotton - and can't seem to get it out. I really like the pants, so don't want to have to throw them out. Thanks!

Natural Remedies for Red, Itchy Rash

My 21 month old boy has this large red rash on his bum/lower back. It started out small and didn't bother him and it was getting better but just this morning I got him out of bed and it is much worse and he is itching it now. The red areas are slightly raised and some areas are peeling. We are letting him run around with out his diaper as much as possible and we use Seventh Generation diapers so I know it isn't a sensitivity to his diaper. So, far we have just been using Earth's Best diaper rash onitment. I am wondering if any one has...

Early Potty Training

I have a 16 month old son that continiously keeps getting yeast infections in the diaper area. After 6 months of struggling with this, the doctors just tell me that this nightmare is not going to be over until he's out of diapers. I want to start potty training buy I don't even know where to start. I have read previous postings on this web site but it seems like a lot of information and I don't know what method to follow. When I research online I get a million answers too. Should I start by buying a potty or a training seat for the toilet?...

Desitin Makes Her Scream

My daughter (7 mos) is on an antibiotic that the doc told me would probably give her diarrhea...well it did and now her little bottom is all red. I put desitin creamy on it yesterday and she started screaming and kicking, so I wiped it off and she stopped. Then I used cornstarch powder instead. Today I have been using aquaphor, but then I decided to try the desitin again just in case it was a fluke..it wasn't, she screamed and kicked until I wiped it off. I've been putting aquaphor on it again, but she is stll all red. Has this ever...
