Underweight 13 Month Old, I Did Have IUGR During Pregnancy.

I have a beautiful 13 month old baby girl. The only concern that I have is that she is very small in size for her age. She's only 13 and a half pounds. Height wise she's doing great, but it just makes her look even that much thinner. I was diagnosed with IUGR (interuterine growth restriction) during my pregnancy and was put on bed rest and saw a high risk doctor the last two months. She was born full term (38 wks buy trying to induce me although I still ended up with a c-section) at 4 lbs 12 oz. She's always been breastfed. She does...

My Daughter Will Not Take a bottle....help

My daughter is six months old and we have been trying (on and off) to get her to take a bottle since she was five weeks old. She is an amazing eater and is in the 90% for her weight, but breastfeeds only. I want to be able to go back to work (and have a little freedom to leave her for more than 3 hours), but am unable to until my daughter takes a bottle. She has a really strong gag reflex and chokes and gags when we try. We've attempted to use so many different positions, bottles, nipples, hot breast milk, cold breast milk and nothing...

Which Bottles Are Best???

I am 33 weeks pregnant with a baby girl and I am trying to figure out what kind of bottles to get. Everyone that I know has thrown in their two cents about my plans not to breastfeed long. In a few more weeks I will be a wife, a mom, a full time student and a part time preschool teacher so please forgive me if I don't expect the breastfeeding to continue much after delivery. I am fully aware of the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding but I'm not sure if I will be able to incorporate it into my hectic life...Which is why I really want to...

Unplanned Pregnancy, with Little One Already in the House!

Help! My husband and I married later in life and had our daughter a year ago on Christmas. I just found out that I am pregnant again, and it was very unplanned. Our home is pretty small and the baby will have to share a room with his/her sister. Any suggestions on how to keep it from waking up our toddler? Also, I am really having a tough time getting excited or being happy about this one, any suggestions there?

Ideas on How to Wing Babies off the Breastmilk to Whole Milk

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get the babies from breast milk to whole milk. My 2 yr old is still eating breast milk, and refuses to drink whole milk of any kind. I've tried strawberry flavored, chocolate, and i've even tried warming the whole milk up to the breast milk temp, still he refuses. He knows the difference in taste, and as soon as he taste the whole milk he just spits it back out. As for my 10 month old baby, he refuses the bottle and the only way to get him to take breast milk is from a straw...
