Steroids for Fetal Lung Development?

The goods new is the baby is healthy and above average in weight, however, the drs. are quite certain I will have an early csection, due to complications/high risk and have talked about giving me steroids to speed up the baby's lung development (I A. 29.5 weeks right now). If you were given steroids to speed up lung development, can you tell me what the experience was like? Any side effects for the baby (or you)? I really do understand that this is for the benefit of the baby, in the event he comes early, it gives him the best chance of...

Progesterone Therapy in Early Pregnancy

I am about 8 weeks pregnant. I had a molar pregnancy almost 3 years ago and a miscarriage with twins in April of this year. So we're pretty cautious with this one. I had a lot of blood work done when I first found out. My hcg levels weren't doubling like they should, and my progesterone level dropped from 18 to 15. At my last ultrasound, the nurse midwife noticed some spotting around the uterus, so she prescribed progesterone (tablets). I've read a lot on the internet about the pills not working well, only being about 10-20% effective...

Seeking Chiropractor to Treat Sinusitis in Toddler (St. Paul)

My son has had seceral repeat sinus infections over the last year. He's been on countless antibiotics and steroids and an ENT removed his tonsils & adenoids in June. We were hoping that that would be the last of his problems, but now he has come down with another one- in August! I'd like to try alternative therapy and have heard good things about chiropractic for some kids. Does anyone have one they would recommend in St. Paul that workes with kids?

Dental Filling During Pregnancy

I had a metal dental filling drilled on and replaced when I was 7 months pregnant in January, and within two weeks I was hospitalized with what the neurologist informed me was an MS attack. I began slurring my words and had weakness in my left hand and left leg. The symptoms were treated with steroids and went away and I gave birth to my son in March. Now I'm concerned that I have exposed myself and my son to mercury and would like advice on ways I might go about finding out if I have, and what precautions to take or ways to detox my...

Medication When Pregnant

I am 19 weeks pregnant and I just came down with a terrible cold. My nose is so stuffy and runny. My doctor said I could basically take any of the Tylenol products. I got the Tylenol Severe Sinus Congestion. It contains Pseudoephedrine, Aceinamenophine, and Expectorant. It is the non-drowsy kind. I took it and it works really well for my nose but makes me a little jittery. It makes me worry if it is ok for the baby. Do any of you know how safe it is? What did you take when you were pregnant for a cold/
