Moody 5 Year Old

Around the time my daughter started school, her moods have changed. She went through the normal naughty and testy phases that all kids go through when she was little but lately my 5 year old reminds me of me when I was a teenager-she is moody as can be, negative, argues for the sake of arguing and all of the sudden everything we say isn't fair or nice and she doesnt like anything (dinners, colors..) that she used to. She loves school and has nothing but good things to say about her teacher and classmates so I dont think thats it, we thought...

Teen Daughter That Is Too Much into Her Boyfriend

I have a 13 year old daughter that lives her life for her boyfriend. All I ever hear is about him and his mom. What great fun they are and it really hurts my feeling that she doesn't want to be with me. I am sure this is a phase she is going through but I also want to spend time with her. If she is at home it is a big fight to get her off the phone or computer with her boyfriend. Any suggestions?

My 5 Year Old Has Excema

My 5 year old daughter has excema. When she was an infant, it was so bad that she has scratches all over her face. She was reffered to a determatologist. He gave me some cream w/a prescription in it. This does not help her at all. We have controlled the dryness on her scalp by using T-gel ut her skin is still very dry. Last time we couldn't control the dryness, the doctor put her on steriods for 7 days. I hate the fact that the only way to help her skin is to put her on steriods. I have heard lots of bad thing about steriods. The doctor...

Help with a 6 Year Old

I need help with my 6 year old he's outta hand. He likes to tell me waht to do and not to listen to me. Any time you tell him to do something he throws a fit. If he doesn't get his own way in school he throws a temper tantrum. If you ground him all he says his I'm telling on you. His dad doesn't help me any either because when he does go see his dad he gets his way and he walks all over his dad and his dad thinks that's okay. Please help me deal with him.

6-Year Old Is a Picky Eater!!!!

I'm very frustrated with my 6 year old son who ONLY wants to eat junk. It drives me nuts. He has such a limited menu of food that he will eat. It is very frustrating. Today, while he was at school, the teacher expressed to me that my son is "fussy" when it comes to food. Today was Dr. Seuss day at school and she served "green eggs and ham." She also had biscuits with jelly, some fruit, etc. He wouldn't eat anything. He told me he's not used to eating at school. UGH. I'm frustrated because I don't know how to help him. He will not eat...

5 Year Old Becoming VERY Defiant...

My girls, ages 5 and 6, are good kids, REALLY good kids, until recently... and I'm a tough love mom. If the girls both get in trouble for something, my 6 year old immediately says 'Sorry mom, I won't do it again' and then she'll correct the problem. The 5 year old will just STARE at me with this ATTITUDE. If I ask her 'Did you hear what I just said??' and she'll kind of shrug her shoulders with the same defiant 'I don't care' attitude. I'll say 'MADISON! What do you say?!' and she'll finally roll her eyes and mumble 'yes ma'am'... WHAT IS...
