Is First Years or Evenflo Breast Pumps Any Good?

When my son and daughter were born premature, the WIC offices where I lived provided a motorized Medella pump supplied from a medical supply store. Obviously this was very good. I know that Medellas are sold in Target but I also seen other brands. Is there an "off" brand ie, Evenflo, First Years, etc. that is comparable but without the price??

Problems with My Marriage and Financial Decisions

It will be 10 years my husband and I will be together this year. The last 2 years haven't been so good. I guess I should back up and explain where this started from. My husband's best friend is pretty well off and gave us a loan for my husband to go to school out of state. We went for almost two years and it was great. Before we moved back his friend gave us another loan to help us buy a house which we purchased. The deal was for us to start paying him in a few years when I finished school. The time is approaching and we are not able to...

So Who Won?

Honestly, I don't know but I am happy to have finally seen something I could call a debate. :) There was no way Obama could have answered the why didn't you pass immigration in your first two years. There just isn't a good excuse. So two questions, one, was there a perfect question Obama asked that went unanswered? I mean direct, not stuff like not directly answering like in the case of single families and gun control. That was out in left field and a bit strange but did count as an answer. Second, who do you think won and why? ...

How Did You Teach Your Teen About Money

Currently, DD is 15 and is super busy with sports and school, so she relies on us for money. She is pretty good at accepting limits and understanding when something is too expensive. We have always had her save part of any gift or other money she gets, and she has some to spend, and have also had her donate some. I know next year things will change a lot, she will be driving and will have a car, and she is going to get a job for at least the summer, and possibly into the school year if her schedule allows. I want to teach her good habits...

The Big Car Debate

Hi everybody! We are having a pretty big argument in my house, and I would love your input. When my daughter got her drivers license she drove my car some, and then my nephew sold me his car for $200 because he was getting a new one. The car was old and nothing fancy, but I figured since it was her first car and I was paying for it, it should be good enough to get her to and from school and she should appreciate having it. She didn't have a job at the time, but she had a pretty heavy class load at school so we agreed that if she kept her...

College Tuition: Whose Responsibility Is It?

I have thoughts on pros and cons of both sides to this, but I'm very curious as to what your thoughts are. * Provided college is the right choice for your child, the time is right and they truly would make the most of the experience*.... 1. Who should pay the tuition? Student or parents? 2. If you think the parents should, do you think there should be conditions attached? 3. What is your reasoning behind your answer? This isn't an all or nothing issue for sure, so I'm looking forward to a variety of responses to consider...
