What is your experience with selling stuff there? I've been an avid ebay seller but wanted to hear from those who sells stuff at Etsy. Any comments is appreciated, thanks so much, mamas. I am a stay at home mom who makes handmade jewelry.

What can I do next?

I love it because I sew cloth diapers and so that means I don't have to compeate with all of the cheap Chinese made crappy diapers and all of the main stream brands. Etsy is a great place for mom's to go who want to sell their homemade items. LOVE it there.

Yes I do! Check me out!
My daughter is way more into it. Funny I raised her doing art shows and she has really been bitten by the bug her line is called thenakedbird I am so proud of her!!! Here is something from her site: http://www.etsy.com/listing/73713136/boogie-monster-cupca...
To be honest, Etsy is a great source but you reeeeally have to work it by networking and being on a lot. I am pretty busy but if I were a stay at home mom and I could devote a good amount of time on my line and my Etsy account I think I would sell more and more often.
I do have a hint for you...
When you put quantities only put 1 even if you have 10 of something. My daughter taught me that. I have an Angel card line and I was putting 10 of each so my customers would know that I actually had more than one of each available but you pay for each listing. It is only .20 each listing but it adds up if you have a lot of items. Just my little tip of the day! :)

I have over a 1000 sells there, also make handmade jewelry. I have 2 shops, the other shop has about 150 sales. As an ebay seller, I have a few hundred sales.

I'm a seller mentor, and help people get their shops started all the time. However, I haven't been keeping up with my shop or the site wide changes these past several months (like the whole forums got a weird redo), but many of them are for the better.

I haven't updated my shop in a long time, and I know in the next month or two, I plan on doing a complete shop makeover, including new product lines, photography styling, graphics... everything. Shop updating is crucial. At times I list and really plug away at my shop, I would make a few sales a day. Now, I'm lucky if I make one a week.

I will say, competition is absolutely brutal. You certainly need another social media outlet to connect to buyers, such as a blog, facebook page or a twitter.

Quality descriptions, tags, photography and products are paramount. Fortunately, etsy has many helpful storque articles on all of these things and a wonderful sellers guide.

I have been wondering the same thing! I make custom invitations, thank you cards, menus, candy wrappers etc (all matching)....so far just for my daughter and close family and friends....labor of love! I have been thinking about going on EBay / Etsy, just wondering if it is worth it, and if anyone would want coordinating hand made paper goods. Can't wait to see all of your replies! Pm me some of your jewelry links...

Yes! I started it as a way to fundraise for our adoption, but continued because I enjoy it and its nice to have the income.

Take the plunge! I've been selling on Etsy for 1.5 years and have loved every minute. You are already familiar with ebay so etsy will probably be an easy transition. Etsy is a wonderful community of creative and talented people. There are so many resources there to help you get your business launched and to help you become a better business person. Here is a link to my site http://www.etsy.com/people/BevaStyles?ref=si_pr

If you decide to open a shop, I'd be happy to help you out in any way I can.
One tip I would give a newbie: Take awesome pictures of your work. The better your photography, the more likely you will get put in treasuries. More treasuries equals more exposure (and possibly front page exposure!). Get a good camera, use a tripod and natural lighting for the most accurate color representation. Practice makes perfect! Best of luck
P.S I am also a stay at home mom. My son is 2.5 years old and I've got another one on the way. Not sure how I'm going to run my business when baby # 2 gets here but I guess I'll figure it out when the time comes.
