I'm one of those people who NEVER throw up. This morning I woke up feel nauseaus. Before I knew it, I was running to the bathroom and vomiting. Minutes later, I had diarreah. I've been too nauseaus to eat anything so now I am vomiting stomach acid. I am miserable.
What could it be and what do any of you suggest I take to help? I hope its not some contagious stomach virus because my little 7 mo old has been here with me all day. I think he knows I'm sick because he's been exceptionally patient and sweet all day.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

So I was sick all day and night and didn't feel better until 7 AM the following day. The nauseau and vomiting has passed but I think the diareah is still in effect. The sprite and crackers certainly helped. Thanks for the advice! I also recommend peppermint tea to any of you who catch this virus. It helped soothe my tummy!!

I think everyone has had this virus, but for sure that is what it sounds like. It is very very very contagious(sp). with my family we only threw up for about 12 hours and then my daughter had diarrea for 2 weeks and I still have it and it has been about three weeks. Also I just found out that we must have still been contagious on Xmas bc I gave it to my entire family. I called my daughters Dr and they said that it is going around and not to worry just keep her hydrated and on a bland diet. I hope you babe doesn't get but if he does and you need any advise let me know.

Sounds like you got a virus.... The family got it a few months ago. I feel for you! It is absolutely terrible thing to go through. My husband went to the doctor to get medicine for the diarreah and the nauseau. I was breastfeeding my son, so decided not to take anything. The first day was the worse but the diarreah lasted a week or so. My son also caught it but luckily just the diarreah part, he started showing signs a few days later... Just make sure everybody gets plenty of fluids and it will pass.
Good Luck!

It definitely sounds like the virus, I had it too a couple of wks ago. The vomiting lasted about 2 days (It was horrible) and then I had diarreah for about a wk. My youngest got it as well but luckily he just got the diarreah part and my mom got it too but not near as bad as I got it, I ended up losing 7 pounds in 2 days.

Try taking Imodium it helped a lot w/my diarreah and crackers and and sprite helps too.
Good Luck.

Try eating some crackers, and 7-up or sprite. Sounds like the same thing that went on at my house not too long ago. The only thing that seemed to help was 7-up/sprite, and crackers. Any extra sleep that you can squeeze in is helpful also.
